Just finished watching this movie... I really enjoyed it. It's such a shame the cast won't be the same for the 2nd movie Sad

I forgot to share this with you guys. A good friend of mine and I went to PMX last month to watch Olivia perform (she's the singing voice for Reira in the anime). This is not my footage because stupid me forgot to bring my camera. But here's a clip of what we did see, courtesy of Yahoo Japan.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kql4RhFNEg (I know it's not related to the movies but still, it's Nana related.)

I found a couple of live performances of "Hitoiro." Wow, I can imagine just how hard it is to sing this song. It's so fast. But Mika Nakashima manages to pull off pretty good performances. She squeaks here and there but it's ok. It would help if she didn't smoke so much. Bonk

Mika Nakashima showin' some Nazi love for the Third Reich....good one....sporting a Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on her plaid jacket...all the neo-Nazis are sure to flock to the movie in droves.
Being a member of the Black Stones requires an intimate knowledge of int'l history...

"Seig Heil....watashtachi blasto desu"

That's pretty stupid. Shake Head

Of course, the Japanese government fails to acknowledge their wartime atrocities in WWII, so why should they acknowledge Nazi Germany's part in methodically trying to exterminate all Jews in Germany? Shake Head

it's a matter of ignorance and sensibility ~ not that i'm excusing it.....one of those visual kei bands, the name escapes me, used to wear SS uniforms on stage.....it's definitely lame and retarded.

there's a million other affectations one can use in the name of fashion.....

Add to the fact that there aren't very many Jews in Japan to point it out... And most (?) Japanese aren't concerned about political correctness...

living in a city where everytime there's a cosplay, or bunkasai, the place is filled with these people. Barely anyone to talk about doramas. anime and visual kei domination is so strong. At least there's always 3 visual kei bands out of 10 performances...

How popular exactly is Nana in japan? I never liked the movie, nor the present anime. ended up skipping everything until Glamorous Sky...

i would say Nana is quite popular in japan...almost a phenomenon unto itself......the manga, anime, and the first movie have all been extremely popular and profitable....the creator of nana, Ai Yazawa, is a very famous shoujo manga artist who has a large following in japan.

Good find. Mika-chan carries it off well live Smile

She's so thin though, looks like she would blow away if they put a fan on Smile

*Edit: It says on Wikipedia she is 160cm tall and 40kg! Geez.... that makes 2 1/2 Mika's to one Anime Dad Bonk
