Hajimemashite. I'm a sansei (3rd-generation Japanese-American) from California. My first exposure to doramas came from watching KTSF on Saturday and Sunday nights. The one dorama that got me hooked was the little-known Kougen e Irasshai. Since then I've watched and enjoyed many of the more popular doramas...Densha Otoko, Gokusen, H2, Lunch Queen, etc. Watching doramas has also motivated me to learn Nihongo, which is something I always wanted to do. Maybe in a few years I'll become fluent enough to ditch the subtitles. Btw, I'm 39-years-old, which seems to be twice the average age around here. Hopefully, Jdorama doesn't add "ojisan" next to my name. Anyway, thanks for reading and have a happy and safe New Years. Ja, mata ne.

Age doesn't matter as long as your a Dorama fan, ne? ^__^ I think there are people of all ages here (though I haven't been here long and don't know many people's ages... that's just the vibe I get) _________________

My name is Ikuko. I live in France since I was born but I'm Japanese ^^ I'm 23 years old... My first Japanese drama was "Ie naki ko" when I was 12 (I have some family at Japan and they sent me a video tape).
My fouvorites drama are Algernon ni hanataba wo and Jyoou no kyoushitsu but I love all japanese drama :-P Now, I'm watching "My boss, My hero".
