It was released last September 30, 2006 in Japan.
Here's the synopsis:
One day, the younger sister of high school student Nana (Erika Sawajiri) mysteriously disappears after picking up a discarded train pass at a station. Meanwhile, Nana's classmate Kanae (idol Chinatsu Wakatsuki) becomes stalked by an unknown presence after she finds a bracelet inside a train compartment. As Nana and a former train driver (Shun Oguri, from "Azumi" and "The Neighbour Number Thirteen") delve deeper into the mystery surrounding this 'lost property,' they learn of a woman who died in an accident on the same train line...

What the heck, I just found a link for the movie, Tegami, in streaming media format. Don't know much about this, but this is the first time I've seen a whole movie being streamed (121 minutes) . The only downside is there's still no english subs (chinese subs only) . This would have been perfect, if it had english subs.

Akemashite Omedetou ` A Happy New Year to you, Erika fans !!
Thanks to hydetetsu-san for the video as usual !!!
And I 'm glad ruji remember me !!
Unfortunately, I have not grip her latest news much yet either...
All I knew is the new Radio show that hydetetsu-san already has mentioned,
and her special fan club K(called Sawajiri-Kai) was founded among celebrities such as
Karasawa Toshiaki,Watabe Atsurou, Itoh Hideaki, Ueno Juri,Wakatuki Chinatsu,Nakagawa Shoko and more ...
The members called her the Princess Erika !! LOL
( Bty, Erika's rival Masami's fan club V also was formed as opposed to that recently LOL)
Erika seems to spending holidays with her family now, and her first job of this new year should be the radio program..
While she is negotiating with the movie producer now, the details have not been clarified...
She is looking forward to be active more as a movie actress rather than TV dramas.
On the other hand, Masami said who was used to be mainly the movie appearance
wants to come to TV drama more. Therefore, we will see Masami more on the television this year...
