Just watched Boku Dake no Idol
Definitely not a great drama sp
Aki san and her melons weren't enough to save this lame one. It felt a bit like watching Densha and all his fantasies but with a twist
Well what do you expect? This drama special is meant for takoyaki viewing pleasure only

my gosh episode 7&8 was SO GOOD!!!!
Glad youre enjoying it!
My BF and I just rocked through the series.
Right now we are on ep 22 of TOshiie To Matsu. Watching at a steady 3 eps an evening clip. Good for the continuity. Catching some of the finer points missed my first time through. Love it even more this time.
Glad youre enjoying it!

All in all, i think its an 8/10.
I guess its because the story didn't move at a pace i was expecting and at times i wonder why the characters are doing what they're doing
i've always wanted to watch this one sooo badly. i'd go for anythin that has Sakaguchi and Hideaki Itou right now, espeecially Hideaki Itou.
i envy you.

unlike Kurosagi, Handoku is a perfect example of why we should sometimes try to finish what we thought would be a horrible dorama.
I reccomend this dorama to all of you who liked Ikebukuro West Gate Park becoz in my opinion, this dorama had the exact atmosphere and the somehow addicting magnet that makes you wanna continue watching. And for those who intend to download it (i don't know whether it's available or not since DLing doesn't work for me), I suggest you should not bother downloading the first six episodes becoz they were simply absurd yet plotless. The real story, which i thought was very worth watching, starts from episode 7. You will be surprised by how the atmosphere changes, it was great. But if you think your dorama watching experience wouldn't be perfect unless you watch the whole show, it's up to you to download all of 'em.
i have to say the script writer did an awfully reckless job for not putting any plot at the first six episodes which made this dorama look like random bits of some insane doctor's everyday life. six episodes was too long for a daymn introduction.
A big round of applause and four, not two, but four thumbs up for the ending. Really, again i have to say the last 5 episodes were indeed entertaining. All those surprises... yummy.
Very nice act by Nagase Tomoya and Ninomiya Kazunari, both were okay. And a very good opening theme song entitled DR by TOKIO. (by the way, in the handoku that i got there was music keys on the top right of the screen. i dunno whether it was provided by the subber or the original version does have it, i think it was and excellent idea, especially for those who like to play the guitar. wonder why they don't make it like that these days?)
I would be giving it an 8/10 if i was only judging the last 5 episodes, but since the whole dorama has 11 episodes and of course we should judge the whole dorama without ignoring any part, the fact that more then half of the dorama -6 episodes- were rubbish, i'm giving it a 6/10
it's still worth watching, especially for those who enjoy Nagase. _________________
I found that series somehow addictive yet incredibly silly. I loved the anime. Still havent watched the entire series. Think Im on ep 8.:
Hmmm... haven't gotten to any anime parts, so I'll keep my eyes open. I've only watched 2/3 of the first epi and find it hard to get into. Mebbe this will change the more I watch... tho I have to admit, I'm not motivated to do so. Still, I always finish what I start, so we'll see how it goes.

I think Eve was referring to an anime version of Ace no Nerae. There is no anime in the live action version. (Of course, the series tended to make me nod off to sleep so who knows... there could have been some.)
Churasan 3
Okay, for those who've read some of the stuff I've written over that the KTSF page... yes, Churasan went on too long for me. In fact, at the end of the year and a half run of the series, I was rooting for the main characters to get run over by buses.
But here's the thing. As with so many of the "morning dramas", I enjoyed the series at the beginning. And by the middle I found myself very involved. But the way they show it up here in the S.F. Bay Area just doesn't work for me. 2 fifteen minute episodes stitched together, shown once a week for 18 months. These shows just don't have those kinds of legs. In other words... morning shows get way too boring toward the end.
So... it's been a couple of years since Churasan ended, and the 5 episode series called Churasan 3 got a set of sub titles last month, so I gave it a shot and... son of a gun, it was like running into a bunch of old friends, having a great visit, and then watching them go home before anything could happen to strain the relationship.
In other words... I liked it.
The whole cast came back to play. They kept the same sets and locations, and they stuck with one simple story. And because those actors and writers have been together for so long, they had a little fun with some of the "bits" that got tired in the long running morning drama.
If you didn't watch the morning show... I don't know if there's anything in Churasan 3 that would be of interest.
But if you did, and you enjoyed it at any point, you might think about going back and visiting with Eri and her crew. I'm glad I did. _________________

Ahhhhh... that makes a lot more sense. I heard that the manga was incredibly popular in Japan and that the drama was much anticipated. Like you, however, I did find myself getting really bored with just the first episode. I hope this changes, but your comment suggests that it doesn't. _________________

Just finished "Uramiya Honpo", a low budget thriller. The script was interesting and the cast adequate - since not much acting ability was called for. The main character was played by Kinoshita Ayumi, an artiste I have not previously come across. I think she started off as a gravure model, and I don't think she has quite graduated to actress status yet.
If you want a bit of cheap thrill this is not a bad choice - and stop drooling, there is no nudity involved.

I basically agree with your assessment on the flow of the plot. It's almost like a different person wrote the script for the second half of this drama. Unfortunately Nagase's exaggerated expression put me off so much, I stopped watching anything he featured for a whole year. It's not until those raving reviews on "My Boss My Hero" piqued my interest to the point I watched this drama - IMHO Nagase redeemed himself.
watched a 22 ep hkdrama recently actually - La Femme Desperado - quite fun to watch but was too dragged out i thought and began to feel a bit too long.
after that, actually finished death note the first movie and then proceeded to finish the first 12 eps of the anime
i guess its needless to say that i enjoyed that series and am looking forward to the rest _________________
