I saw this topic..and at the same time went to CNN and MSNBC to see if that girl who had been kidnapped (it's been all over the news here in the US since a security camera video taped her kidnapping) has been found safe.

Unfortunately, it was not a happy outcome. And when I think about death and when it happens like this...it makes me sick.

An example of this would be if I were to call you "Punta". (I assume you know what this means)
If I didn't know what the word meant, would you get offended or try to correct me? And if I did know what it meant, wouldn't you get offended?!

Having a Japanese G.F. and living in Hawaii has nothing to do with it.

hehehe.. I've found it quite irritating sometime when he calls me with "-chan" since he doesn't really know me or even a close friend to me. Even my Japanese friends didn't dare to call me with "-chan" until they felt quite close to me..

But I think he's just trying to be friendly with us here.

That's why I had the "FYI" at the bottom of the post. The "FYI" that you chose to delete when quoting me. Why did you choose to delete it? Probably to make me look like an asshole. Read the post again buddy!

Another thing. It doesn't matter if he's fluent or not. That's the reason I'm posting it.

Loveless, I resent the implication you are putting on me for being a "prick" (or @$$ or whatever). Especially if the one accusing me is just as guilty. And if not, worse.
