what does it mean?
It means exactly like that. Anyway, its just a running joke around the thread, we refer to her as mother in law because almost everybody around here would kill to make Erika as their wife (which is insane), hence, Erika's mother becomes their Mother-in-Law.
Don't worry, its nothing important. Just some crazy stuff you'll find around the thread.

Not only did you spoil the movie, but you just crushed their dreams. Too late to explain now.

Phew, good I was smart this time, once I read predictable plot I stopped reading
I think we all know what reality is like, but what is life without dreams (reminds me of a quote from Shaolin Soccer haha) and a little fun? I'm sure none of us will just sit at home all day waiting to marry Erika, don't be so serious.
A quote for those who understands cantonese: "If we don't have dreams in life, how are we different than a salted fish (dead person)?"

Well nothing for me to fear.I'll happily face criticism if I can let ppl see the light beneath the cloud that they casted themselves in...there are so many cases of ppl having family problems and stuff over their craze of celebrities? Two weeks ago someone in my country divorced his wife just because he got so crazy over celebrity chef Nigella Lawson. Now that's bull****!!!
About the movie...don't think too much about what I said.Just shake that comment on my previous post off your head.Feign ignorance. This way the movie will still be a great show...but sorry for spoiling the movie anyway...
Btw anyone has the newsletter cutting of last year's top ten Japanese female actresses?I want to do some comparison...got to see how drastic the change in popularity is...

You speak good english, so don't worry. Most of us here speak english as a second language.
Based on the sources I've found, Erika's mother is actually Algerian-French. I suppose she's both got Algerian and French blood. Erika's father, though I'm not very sure, is Irish-Japanese, though more on the japanese side.
If you do a rough estimate, that makes Erika, 25% Algerian, 25% French, 25% Irish and 25% Japanese for a total of 100% uber ultra superb cuterikariffic kawaii-ness.

I'll have to agree that's bullcrap. Haha. Well I guess there are some people who're like that at all. Don't misunderstood us here though, we're only having fun, it's not like we seriously think about the possibilities.

Perhaps he was just using it as an excuse to get rid of his missus
But we have thought about the possiblities, I thought we agreed that the possibility is 0.0000001%

Maybe I am trying to shake off my mistakes(if you were to consider that sentence as an insult) but are you going to wait till she get married b4 you finally concede that it's 0%?Loving someone does not nessecarily mean that you must live together with her.you love someone, you just want them to have a happy life regardless of who they end up living with.Forgive me if I offended you in anyway ,but will you rather marry her and she'll live a life of turmoil or you rather see her marrying someone she truly loves and one that can give her happiness throughout her life?We should not confuse marriage with true love...true love does not nessecarily mean marriage.

Hey hey hey calm down, buddy . You're taking it wayyyy too seriously..

And you're almost saying that anyone here who marries her will instantly turn her life miserable. I'm sure all of us here agree with you, but like I said, we're just messing around and having fun.

You're being very serious, but I do agree with you. It doesn't really matter if or when i concede the percentage to be zero or if I think it is slightly more than that. Nothing is impossible, but most things are just impropable. Having said that, no, I do not spend my days thinking how I will marry her or be with her. I think I've passed that naive stage of my life a while back, everything is said in the name of fun with a hint of imagination and a tad of daydreaming, which I think is good for the health once in a while. However, it is nothing more serious than that.
That bit about true love, let just say even though I do not know her personally, I can see that I am not compatible with her, at least at this moment in time. Also, I do not strive to turn into someone I am not just so I can match her (the to-do list is mostly for fun, although learning Japanese and such is not a bad idea). To answer you, no, I will not marry her and have her being miserable. I do wish that she can find someone who can bring her joy everyday.

to add...
I cannot even bring myself to say and think (while being serious) that my feelings towards Erika Sawajiri is called true love. It just seems all too silly to me, I have never met her and do not know her at a personal level, and more importantly, what is true love?

That's just an example.Just want to emphasize my meaning.Yeah all of us here should have fun right? After a long day of working or studying we all need a break yes?So why should we now wage a "conversation" war with someone we don't know?I admit I was too harsh but I just didn't want any more ppl to fall into a trap.A trap that crashes their lives forever. And what's the bait?Simply a pic of a celebrity.Let's stop talking about this...
Seems like Erika is very good in playing roles linked with sick ppl.She enjoyed great success in Ichi Ritoru No Namida and Taiyou No Uta.Hey maybe her next show is also something like this...that's gonna be cool.

/seriousness ends
I respect you.You are able to distinguish the possible to the near-impossible very clearly, and they are not just assumptions.Actually we should not talk about love here yes? It's a rather "soft" topic, not good to discuss it when the whole world can actually read it.This thread is about Erika,so let's get back to it!!!
But then again, what can we discuss about? She's been keeping a low profile these days...and I wouldn't dismiss the chances that it's all thanks to Toda Erika's raising fame these days? Now is there anything nice about her?In my opinion she's not as naturally pretty compared to Sawajiri. So what's the craze about?More like a craze for Death's Note rather than her I suspect...

Yeah, enough about that. Let's just continue with the fun.. shall we? We do appreciate your concern though.
Anyway..... I hope she plays a different character, should she star in another drama. I don't like her being typecasted as the "Oh I have a disease and I'm dying again" girl. I'd prefer her next drama project to be not so... tear-jerking, you know.. I just want it to be different. Comedy, Action, Romance, or any of the three combined will do.

At the very least, don't let her die again...
Comedy sounds good, I wonder how she'll fare in a comedy. I love her smiles and laughter, I'm sure I'll like her comedies! Action, this one will be interesting, she didn't get to do much in shinobi and perhaps a modern setting action film?

I think action movies does not work well with female actresses...they just don't have the X-Factor for such shows.Put Erika in the shoes of..let's say some samurai shows. And she's a samurai herself.Looks totally weird isn't it?Comedy...well Ueto Aya did not shine in her debut comedy movie Shimokita Sundays so it might not be a good career move for Erika.Romance...try to mix romance with "sick dying ppl" plot and it'll work out perfectly. But I am not a director.Regardless of what kind of shows she acted in let's just guve her our support. But I personally feel that she should stick with her type of movie.
