i thought its quite nice. though i hope they could cast erika in other roles other than those depressing dying roles.....but somehow i prefer her in 1 litre of tears.

'Stay with me' isn't on there, but it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to figure out by ear. Most Japanese songs like this aren't.


I just finished watching this drama... eh. Pretty good, not the best I've seen. Good cast, though I'm tired of seeing Sawajiri Erika dying or in a tough spot all the time. I guess that's what happens to you on-screen when you're beautiful.

Taiyou no Uta can't be compared to 1-ittoru. They aren't in the same league.

Don't you all think it's about time Yamada and Sawajiri stop playing in the doomed-girl dramas?

It wasn't a bad show. I actually liked it because of the supporting cast and how they were used to show the effect of the dying girl on their lives. Still, this really has to be the last doomed-girl drama for both of these actors for a long time.

i just finished watching the entire series and i thoroughly enjoyed it. it had some great moments about friendship and love. its definitely has a different feel from 1 litre of Tears. The music was great, i loved all of it, and actually went to kinokuniya to buy the Kaoru Amane CD

I didn't even know there is a Taiyou no Uta thread, anyway I really enjoyed this one, especially if you're an Erika fan it's highly recommended.

I would also recommend it, it's one of my favourites and very touching.
I also love Erika in it and I didn't regret watching it, it's really different from 1LOT. And the music is really beautiful *loves*

The few things I like about this drama firstly is the Music being played in the drama, secondly having both Erika and Yamada acting in it =)

yeah i enjoyed this drama. great music i love the orchestrative music that plays like the one where there is always a sad scene or like the sun's about to rise. i thought it had the best soundtrack for a drama in 2006

I just finished watching it a few days ago..
I think it's quite a perfect drama where u can laugh and cry in the same drama..
Erika Sawajiri really acts well in melodrama.. I cry buckets in '1 Litre Of Tears' which I say, the most sad drama I've ever watched..

The songs are great, I really like it.. And I listen to it like every free moment that I have in a day..

Overall, it's a must-see drama if u are a melodrama fan..

I like Yamada Takayuki after I watched this drama and I've watched him again in 'Crying Out Love in The Centre of The World'
