Glad the two of you enjoyed it.
Personally I thought the drama was more 'animated' than the animation. The subtle use of special effects and CG made the drama more lively.
sou desu yo ne?? I really really really enjoyed it. The humor is right up my alley. And for some weird reason, I have this renewed interest in classical music

You and a whole bunch of Japanese. Apparently 31st March has been named 'National Classical Music Day'. All the labels, especially Sony Music, are going all out to promote classical music with some help from the "Nodame Cantabile" characters.

The anime takes the exact time frame as the drama, and will end before Chiaki and Nodame go to Paris.
Really??? Then, that means there's a chance open for a Nodame live-action sequel! Gyabooo~~!!! Ureshii!
Thanks alot, alot for the pieces titles and the anime link!!^0^

That's 'Rhapsody in Blue' by Gershwin.
Hee....isn't Rhapsody in Blue the one played on every ending titleback?? No?
You mean the piece BGM played on the scene where Chiaki hugs Nodame by the river bed on the FINAL Episode....is Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue"?? Hontou? It sounds different to me
Or maybe I got the ending titleback's music title wrong? _________________

just finished it. great dorama, i really liked how animated everyone was. the CG indeed really set this apart and gave it the anime/manga feel. i can understand why its sparked renewed interest in classical music. there are pieces that i haven't heard in a long time and a few were rather moving to me. the cinematography and music editing where darn good and conveyed emotions to the audience.
the softsubs were pretty darn good for betas, i was expecting less, but got more. good job guys. (although i was like that guy in the forum that got flamed for not knowing where to get the subs, i couldn't find them at first either.)

Clarification: that person did not get flamed for not finding the subs, he/she got bashed because he/she was insulting the webmaster because he was too dumb/impatient to find the subs.

i understand what you're saying, it was totally his/her fault for the post. Whether or not the OP's post was intentional, the post elicited a rather harsh and frankly over reacted response. Isn't that was a flame is? an angry/belittling/reactive post made in response to OP?
It is good though that there was an effort to rectify and explain. While im not of high intelligence, I nevertheless has a difficult time finding the subs until i found that thread. If you want further comments, PM me for them, as im going off topic.

Gomen nasai.
Sorry! Thanks for editing them^^
Which part of Japan does Nodame come from? Kyushu, I think? Is Kyushu near Okinawa?
Nodame's family has an accent when they talk. But the weirdest one was when Nodame's father was talking to Chiaki....right before he said, "My son! MY SON!!!". He said something that meant, "So you like her that much?". But according to what I hear, it's not Japanese at all x) What did he say? And what language is that??
I know Okinawa have their own strange accent...well, in fact, I think that's just a whole other language...really different than Japanese. They got their own native language, I think. So I thought, maybe Nodame's hometown is still in the same area with Okinawa.
Uhh...wait....is it Okinawa that has their own language? I hope my memory didn't fail me x) _________________
