I think I'll just tune in for Kaze no Haruka.

I think I'll do that to. Red Moon is so depressing.

I wouldn't consider it pimping, since it's contained within that one thread: I'm not making posts in other threads to promote it. Bleah

I agree. There are still two episodes left to this show, but thus far I haven't see any reason or redeeming value to show all this blood and tears. Watching Kaze no Haruka after that is really refreshing.

Thank you, Sachiko-chan, for the notification. These are really nice pictures of Eri. (I particularly love the one showing the two Harukas.) It looks as though she was already a well-known singer/actress before she landed the role of Haruka.

Actually my darling wife Toshiko was born in Manchuria during those very days. Watching the babies in that drama was VERY relevant in our household!

Help!!!!! Did someone record the most recent episode of Kaze No Haruka? Ironically, I'm visiting Japan right now and have been relying on my Slingbox to watch the subtitled doramas on KTSF automatically recorded on my DVD/HHD recorder back in SF, and was VERY unhappy to discover that all the shows were delayed by a half hour due to the Chinese New Year Parade. Grrrrrrrr!

And, actually I only need the second half of Kaze No Haruka, since I have my DVD/HHD recorder set to record up to 845pm on Saturday which was late enough for the first half (845pm was intended to cover any delays, but unfortunately was not enough this year).

If you did record it, please, please let me have a copy! Any quality will do, as long as the subtitles are readable.

Thanks....anyone?

Great! Thank you!!!! Will you be able to put it on a blank DVD/CD and it be playable on a regular DVD player? Or on a PC via WMP?

OH GOD NO WHY.

I didn't enjoy "Akai Tsuki" at all. It was a dragged-out parade of misery. I like Takashima Reiko, but that didn't make up for it.

We were all very happy when it ended tonight.

What's following it?

HARU TO NATSU.

AGAIN.

Argh.

AGAIN?!? rant Another war-era drama about expats struggling with the locals? The theme is getting old. Can we petition to retire the aging exec at NHK (or Fuji-TV) who just can't get it out of his system? Sure is giving the locals a struggle.

Do you think that the asadoras are getting repetitive, too?
Formula:
Girl leave hometown for the big city.
Girl finds out her hometown boy friend wasn't so hot.
Girl meets new boyfriend in big city.

Even though I don't understand what their saying (no subtitles) I'm really enjoying Tokyo Towers. The relationship the tall guy has with his mom and friends is great.

Asadora series, which began running on NHK in 1961, are deliberately formulaic. What you list is only a small part of the Asadora blueprint--a blueprint which is one of the main reasons asadorama have been airing for so long. Audiences know what to expect when they watch these 15-minute, 6-mornings-a-week series, and that is part of their popularity.

I caught the last four episodes on AZN and got SO hooked. When I saw that KTSF was going to start running it, that gave me a reason to stay home on Sunday nights. Mr Green

After we all complained last time, I hope that they run Haru e Natsu in order this time. Doh!

Man... I didn't think much of HARU TO NATSU. the first time. I sure can't watch it again.

And as for Kaze no Haruka, I think they've worn me out.

I usually start out really enjoying the morning dramas, but...

I do not like Haruka. Maybe it's the character, maybe it's the actress. I'm not sure. But I've come to dislike her, and that's not good for a morning drama.

And I've really disliked the younger sister, Asuka, since they went to the older cast. (The character. The actress is too much of a non factor to have much of an opinion of her.)

The promise of more scenes with Yoshino Kimura, Ikkei Watanabe, and Asami Mizukawa later in the series kept me coming back. But it looks like it'll be another couple of months before they get a chance to save this show.

Boy, do I miss "Suzuran"

^ I think its the character Haruka, she change her personality and the way she dresses so fast. They should of done it gradually. Like after one episode they fast forward 4 years. Shake Head
