Alrighty, now that I'm watching this drama, I've started reading this thread from the beginning (yesh, I luff this drama that much), but after page 5 the spoilers start, and I haven't gotten that far in the drama yet. So here are my responses to the things I've read so far:

I think Ninomiya (the author) hinted at some sort of parallel between Mozart and Nodame, but this is just my personal opinion.
Sugoi, I noticed this as well and I'm glad to see I wasn't the anyone. Actually the whole idea of "playing by ear" is very reminescent of Mozart. He was also a bit flakey and very, um, passionate? Just as Nodame is portrayed. I think this was a direct, purposeful choice of portrayal.

Yeah, that's true, but it's so played.
It is, but I enjoy Mine quite a bit. He's so cute.

Ueno Juri seemed to be a very loud girl, ne. And she likes to hug or cling on the person nearest to her, when she's in an emotional state
No wonder she plays Nodame so perfectly! Thank you so much for the video clip and subbing it!

Tamaki underwent intense training before shooting this drama. He did not seem to play either the piano and violin prior to this drama, and certainly knew nothing about conducting.
SUGOI! That's impressive! He pulls it off verra nicely. I knew he wasn't a conductor or had practice any practice in that from my own musical background, but I was completely convinced that he played the piano.

I have no life! I completed this dorama for the SECOND time today I only watched it for the first time two weeks ago!
I dunno I just love it so much it's got a nice feel about it. It makes me want to take up piano again XD
Even though it's always better when you're watching a show for the first time because you don't know what's going to happen. I enjoyed it just as much on the second run through, there weren't any parts I wanted to skip.
The only problem is I find myself constantly saying 'gambatte kudosai' ... ... ... the way that Milch/Streseman does _________________

Welcome to the 'Nodame-Obsession Club'. I've lost track of how many times I went through those scenes with musical performances - Chiaki/Nodame's Mozart Piano Sonata, S-Oke's debut, RS's debut, the RS Christmas Concert...
Hmm, I've just finish watching this dorama this morning! =)
the actor and actress in this dorama fully portrait their roles well IMO =)
its a really enjoyable show with lots of nice music =)

Chiaki/Nodame's Mozart Piano Sonata
That's one of my favourite parts of the show I really love that scene. I love it when they play piano together. I was so happy when they got to play together again in ep 6 ^__^
I love the scene where Chiaki is asleep on the bench in episode 4 as well
Yosh *strikes a pose* wonder how long it'll take me to start again *scratches head* ah ha ha _________________

Yup Chiaki sleeping on the bench is an epitome of beauty.

Yes.
The musical pieces and the musical performances are stirring.
