Randomly I finally saw the bistro with tsuchiya anna and natsuki mari... good stuff. I love tsuchiya anna. Dancing i tend to like singers and talents and actors that are half japanese because I'm also half japanese. It's a weird reason lol. I've been like that forever. But, I do like her for alot more than that.

it's just a lil weird because her and also wentz eiji are both half and don't speak any english at all... but then again i guess there's alot of half japanese kids in the US that don't speak Japanese at all either. I'm glad i can speak both... Victory! Peace!

duh i'm retarded. my mother would hit me if she knew i made that mistake about edogawa ranpo lol. sadly i just basically know the names akechi kogoro and kindaichi kousuke but very little about both detectives. I just know basics about both of them, and the fact that goro chan played both of them and then nagase and matsuoka from tokio were in a drama special called "Akechi kogoro vs kindaichi kousuke".

I have footage of him when he performed "Hiroshima ni genbaku wo otosu hi" and everyone's comments were really good and what they showed that I saw, i was very much impressed.

Haha, I don't know anything about the authors or detectives either besides having seen Goro play Kindaichi. I just remember the Akechi Kogoro author because it's a Japanese phonetic play on Edgar Allan Poe.

Oh is it fan camera footage or a entertainment report footage? Either way it sounds really cool. I've only seen magazine photos of his play performances.

Haha, I do that too. I'm looking for hapa role models for my baby nephew. There's plenty of full blooded Japanese American kids who can't speak Japanese. Me

the footage is from a news program so it's like at least 15 min long i think. basically it was news coverage of the play. it was very cool. i can burn it for you and add it to the list of stuff i've been planning to burn for you Mr Green

lol in my case it's weird because my first language was japanese(i was born in cali, but moved to japan when i was 1 and my dad had to go away for a year for work so all i heard was japanese because i lived with my mom, uncle and aunt) so I was an ESL kid, I just didn't know it at the time lol. I was actually like an ESL kid until 2nd grade(I moved to montana when i was 5... the military takes you random places lol) and when I moved back to japan when i was 8... I lost like my ability to basically speak japanese but i could comprehend so I worked so hard to learn japanese on my own because it was so frustrating. Currently, i'm still learning kanji daily but my speech and comprehension are pretty fluent. I tutor people in japanese currently and i'm eventually going to teach english in japan. Then i realized that english might be harder to teach than i thought Sweat aaah languages.

Nakai - Kimura said that sometimes when he looks at Nakai hosting, he gets very impressed and thinks that Nakai is very capable in hosting, like a DJ.

Not only Kimura~~I'm also impressed with Nakai. Applaud He such a good host and the best host in Japan after Koichi(KinKi) I think. Kimura should add another one, Nakai good in dancing. The best dancer in SMAP.

now~~this is the true ability of Shingo. Smitten

Tsuyoshi - Kimura is impressed by Tsuyoshi's ability to speak a foreign language and his good attitude towards learning.

add some more, Tsuyoshi can be a good father too hehe

zephyrscarlet wrote:

Goro - He mentioned Goro last, and said that Goro has no special abilities. Everyone started laughing and Kimura said thank god that everybody laughed or the atmosphere would have stiffen. Then Kimura said that he was joking and Goro has the ability to understand things very quickly.

Hi Fye_D.Flowright w00t!! I think maybe Nakai is the best host in JE, not Japan. I think Sanma is much better! I really like Sanma Akashiya ALOT. Not forgetting Tamori.

As for dancing, the ranking would be like this (For me)

#1 Kimura (sexyyyyyy...)
#2 Nakai (energetic)
#3 Shingo (serious in dancing)
#4 Tsuyoshi (a bit skinny and small sized to impress me as a guy dancing)
#5 Goro (needless to say)

As for hosting..

#1 Nakai (obvious answer)
#2 Shingo (imaginative and cute!)
#3 Tsuyoshi (calm and collected)
#4 Goro (also calm and collected, but may not be able to understand other people's feelings)
#5 Kimura (i think Kimura talks too slowly and he says too much of "eto..", "ano sa.." and "chotto..")

Well...okay, so Nakai might not be #1 but he is ONE OF THE BEST HOST in Japan Victory! Peace!

I've been wondering, there had always been talks about Kimura Takuya successors. The next Kimura Takuya.

But none of "The Next Nakai Masahiro"? I think "Nakai Masahiro" is quite phenomenal too. He's the only comical host, and ranked top there, who is an idol too. Most of the top hosts are all comedians, desho? Taka-san, Sanma, 99, and other Manzai duets.

Too bad, nee... There's none of Johnny's boys who follow Nakai's steps to have "hosting" as primary job. It would be great if he has a successor^^ Or, have any of you seen any potential in the juniors?^^

I think Nakai is better than Taka-san and of course i love the Hey Hey Hey hosts too! Hilarious!

As for other Johnny boys... hmmm perhaps MatsuJun? He showed potential is Utawara. The interactions between him and Kat-tun's Jin were pretty much like those between Nakai and Ohno.

On the next Kimura Takuya, I really think it is NOT POSSIBLE because no one can match up to Kimura. He is like Japan's modern living legend and I'm sure his legacy will live on as one of Japan's entertainment greatest. Those who have watched Kamenashi Kazuya's drama... may feel that Kame sometimes is trying to act like Kimura. Various expressions is really a lot like Kimura!

Has anyone watched the TOILET PAPER MAN performance by all members of SMAP in SxS ending song, March 1st, 2004? (not the one in FNS)

I just thought it was SUGOI. They sang horribly, and I do mean HORRIBLY. But the performance was VERY ENTERTAINING! LOL! They were definitely just making fun of Nakai's solo song, even Nakai himself is making fun of his silly solo song. They didn't rap and sing properly and looked like they're just having fun. But the whole performance is NOT messy, at all. It is somehow, very much watchable and enjoyable. And really, very entertaining.

It is probably one of the example of what you said, Ellena: "their main goal is to make fans happy and if that involves music then they'll do it."

SMAP can perform a comedy while singing a song. And I have not seen, any other artiste who can do that in one performance^^ .....yet.

I really hope all of you have watched this, so you know what I mean^^

Qnuy didn't like that performance, because she thinks it was horrible. But the way I think of that performance, is just like how I mentioned above, heehee.... It was really, really funny!!! One of my favorite!^^
