finished Teru Teru Ashita

1. the plot is really something else!
2. the characters and their developement are really something else!
3. the settng was also really something else!

if you're bored with comedy/love/medical/sport/dark doramas and want something with an orginal story making you feel like you're in a unique, this one's for you.

8.5/10 Applaud

and no, it's not Ame to Yume no Ato ni 2 Big Grin and for those who like the casts from Ame to Yume, there's gonna be some surprises. and i love Teruyo-chan's mom's answering machine... "Haaaiii... Keiko-desu..."

the only thing annoying about it is that the pace is awfully slow! (especially when it comes to that Yu-boy and Saya-san Tired)

the best thing about it is, it's so memorable. after you finish watching it, it feels like you actually lived in Sasara-no-Kan, at least for 495 minutes Big Grin

it's hard to say, but IMO, Nagase Tomoya is the sexiest yet one of the best actors Japan has ever had

Recently, within the last month, I have watched: Kekkon Dekinai Otoko. Enjoyed it very much and I fell in love with Abe Hiroshi! In love

I finally finished Seikei Bijin. I really enjoyed Yonekura Ryoko's acting and especially her comedic abiliites, but I missed the group scenes and scenery of Japan, that I enjoyed so much in Sakura and Churasan.

I also watched Star No Koi, or as it is called on this board Sutaa No Koi. I enjoyed that a great deal, I am a sucker for a 'will they, or won't they fall in love' story with comedy in it. Tsuyoshi Kusangi and Norika Fujiwara were well matched. Plus all that food looked so oishii!

Now I am watching Nodame Cantabile. The classical music is fantastic! Applaud I don't care for the slapstick humor at all, but I am able to ignore it by focusing on the great music and on the lead actor Tamaki Hiroshi! Wink In love

P.S. Thanks b-kun and Ralph! Hug

rofl rofl rofl

finished 69 Sixty Nine

http://jdorama.com/drama.917.htm

a story about rebellious burning spirited teenage boys. Again, Tsumabuki Satoshi shines in movies. The movie is so funny i had to laugh all the way. Some parts were a bit sick and might make you vomit immediately! I'm not joking! Really vomit. So i'm suggesting you not to watch this while eating heavy stuff. Too bad the plot was a bit absurd yet rather plotless. The boys were daymn nuts only friekin stupid brain damaged kids would ever do such stuff.

Let's say it's a teen movie, with a little touch of Jackass and American Pie. So if this is your cup of tea, you might really like it. BUt if you don't like the theme, you're gonna hate it every single bit from beginning til end. It's stupid and sick but to me was a laugh.

6.5/10 but more of a 7/10

Ep 1 of Tatta Hitotsu No Koi. I'm in heaven again. Ayase Haruka is the number 2 most beautiful, ultra talented, charismatic actress in Japan. Nubmer 1 of course is still Kuninaka Ryoko.

It is so good to see Ayase again after her super super tremenduous performance in Cryng Out Love In the Center Of The World series.... admmitedly one of the best series ever broadcast in Japan.

I'm finally getting around to transferring all my old series to DVD. A long, dull, task for the most part.

But there is a bright spot. I've been sampling some the the episodes I've been burning, and remembering just how much I enjoyed series like:

"Shiawase no Shippo" ("The tail of Happiness") with Miki Mizuno and Kyozo Nagatsuka.

"Odoru daisousassen" (Rhythm and Police") One of the all time great series.

"Over Time" With Makiko Esumi.

"Otousan" with both Miki Nakatani and Naoko Iijima.

"101st Proposal" With Atsuko Asano

It's a been a great week of TV for me.

I knew there was a reason I kept these shows around.

And still a couple of dozen more of my favorites to transfer.

I'm a happy old Geezer.

No I think I have posted here at least once before. Sweat This is the first time I gave some opinions though. Bonk Mr Green

I am still watching Nodame. If I can, I like to watch a Lesson every few days or so. That way I get to savor the music more slowly. Good I don't know why, but my mind is drawing a blank on the all-too-familiar theme music played at the end of each Lesson while the credits roll. Do you know the name of it?

FINALLY finished Kimi Wa Petto last night. It was fairly predictable in the end, although

I'd like to see Koyuki in something else, just to compare - something where she can be confident as well as beautiful.

And man, is she beautiful Smile

That's Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue', with adaptations by Hattori Takayuki. Links to most of the CD-albums and sets of music from and related to "Nodame Cantabile" can be found in this drama's discussion thread.
