Okay, so I actually finished Sailor Suit and Machine Gun last night.

Lots and lots of people voted for George Bush. Twice.

American Idol gets big ratings. Survivor gets big ratings.

I can't help other people's taste.

By the way... if anything, the final episode made me dislike this series even more.

Just finished "Yasashii Jikan".

This drama moves at a leisurely pace, reminiscent of "Slow Dance". However it is far from boring - if I had started watching earlier during the day, I'd certainly finish it in one go. Every able this drama is subtle - the plot, the emotions, even the characters. While you have a clear understanding of the characters of the cast, they don't throw it at you.

The cinematography is stunning - after a couple of episodes I'm ready to take my next big vacation in Furano, preferably in winter.

The soundtrack was also spot on. Before watching the drama I listened to the OST and found it a bit boring. This feeling is gone after watching the drama. In fact I'm putting the title theme as well as the theme song, 'Ashita', into my iPod.

Highly recommended.

"Yasashii Jikan". is one of my all time favorites.

I finished it about a month ago, and the disc is still sitting on my desk. I can't bring myself to put it away.

Finished Tatta Hitotsu No Koi.

It's a bit slow at times....

But with Ayuse Haruka how could it be bad. Just seeing her should be enough to satisfy any one (or any man). Always beautiful, lively, charming, full of charisma. Having her in any drama is sure to make the drama memorable.

You could make the same claim for Nakama Yukie and Gokusen 2.

And yet it is. bleh

At this time Nakama Yukie is not in my top 10 Smile

or I would have made that claim for Gokusen 2, As of now G2 has to remain in the bottom 3 of the worst dramas ever.

Ayase can do no wrong... yippeee

Up to episode 2 of Beautiful Life. The chemistry between Shuji and Kyoko is so believable - they are wonderful to watch together.

And I like the way - so far - that the wheelchair stuff has been handled.

Boy, some shows can just get on people's nerves.

Gokusen 2 one of the worst 3 shows ever, Ralph?

Man, Gokusen 2, a silly little time waster, is nowhere near the bottom of my all time worst list.

Heck, I don't even think it's Nakama's worst series. That title, from those I"ve seen, is reserved for Tokyo Wankei

Now there's a stinker. Right up there (or down there) with Meguri ai.

I had to stop watching Wankei half way through for fear I'd never be able to watch another Nakama series again.

Gokusen 2 was too inoffensive, too forgetable, too vapid to make any of my lists. You know, top ten, bottom ten, or guilty pleasures.

It was sad to see Nakama wasted in this stinker. the plot was a non-plot.
Just an endless repeat of problem with student.. fight ... end.
The fights were slapstick in execution. There was no connection with Nakama's vampid punches and the explosive result of these light non-belligerent taps. Ok I'll modify it. I'll put it in the worst 5 shows that I started to watch and had to stop after a couple of the most unmemorable episodes ever wasted on a medium.
Grumble

Shame, Yukie-chan is one of my all-time favorites. I'll know to give Tokyo Wankei a wide berth, anyhow.

On topic: I am watching some J-movies: Ju-on and Ju-on 2, and Ringu 2 are up next.

Then I think i'll resume Densha Otoko, once i've burnt them to DVD Smile

still on Itsumo Futari de

an ultra-annoying country bumpkin girl from Asakawa, Mizuho, played by Matsu Takako, is one hell of an annoying character! And I don't consider her pretty either. It'd be a very entertaining series if it wasn't her in it. Oh well, it has Kenji Sakaguchi and Hasegawa Kyoko in it. And it's still pretty entertaining anyway, though there are a lot of pretty annoying things here and there, even the plot.
