I'm surprised you're not gobbling up the show at a faster rate... Oh wait, you're married with kids... |
Yep
I didn't get to watch it yet. Couldn't get near a DVD player

I expect the effect was softened for me since I'd seen the movie before seeing the series. I won't rip the TV series, but I thought the movie did a much better job of telling that story.
By the way... if you haven't seen it yet, Ayase did a pretty nice job in the "Hero Special". It's a fairly small supporting role, and as "Specials" go... well -- it's not very good. But I expect an Ayase fan would enjoy it. |
Exactly the opposite for me. I could barely stand the movie after watching the series. The movie was an insult to such a wonderful story.
Not to mention the scenic vistas in the series.. and how can you take it seriously when the male lead rides a mopad....
The movie had none of the insightful dramatic moments as for instance:
The movie was just another movie.... nothing memorable about it. Even now I can barely recall any scenes from the movie while the series is as vivid as ever in my mind.

Nothing to be ashamed about - it was more interesting than SOS.

i agree, those last episodes were driving me crazy! especially when they threw Toda Erika into the mix. to me the whole season felt like a yo-yo of emotions; which yes, made for good drama, but ended up making me...
**POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD**
**/SPOILER**
but i have to say that i'm glad it ended the way it did, and surprisingly they resolved what they needed by the last episode. i enjoyed the ending much more than the S1 ending because it felt more like a closure to the series. and as mention in another thread previously, i wouldn't mind seeing a special (kekkon! kekkon!).
anyhoo... i finished Erai Tokoro ni Yomeide Shimatta! and i ended up really liking it. once you get past the first episode, you kinda just get sucked into it. has anyone else seen it?
now i'm looking for something new to watch. i've been hearing good reviews on My Boss My Hero, so i'll probably check that out next.

Then it might drive you nuts since that was what the anime and now series is all about! |
I guess that's one way of keeping an anime/manga going on for an x amount of episodes.
Anyways, I'm on episode 6 or 7 of HYD2. Same thing, different day.

Right then!
Index Finger? Meet Mr. Fast Forward Button. Mr. Fast Forward Button? Meet Mr. Index Finger.
And that'll about do it for "Tatta Hitotsu no Koi"
I don't know. Maybe if I were a 14 year old girl who loved watching dramas that tried to make me cry, I might have enjoyed this one.
But I'm not. And this was just episode after episode of cliche piled on cliche.

You sounded liked you want Middle Finger to get cozy with Mr. Director (of this drama).
