as it seems gan-shin tries to bring L'Arc to Europe.
I can get it wrong, but I've written an e-mail to them when I had heard about the SMILE/ Dune (whatever) release. They will also release the latest album of L'Arc when it will be finally out for sale in Japan. So maybe a Tour through Germany is not impossible. But... ok ...

That is possible Steff. Tetsu himself said that they'd like to do a Euro Tour on their 20th anniversary (correct me if Im wrong), and they've shot a couple of PVs there. So I can assume that L'Arc, at least, has thought about hitting Euro market as well. I just dont understand why it took so long for them to do that though, the farthest venue they'd ever go outside Japan was the US, and it wasn't even a concert. They have big name and it sells. Look at Dir en Grey, Due le Quartz, D'espair Ray, and a handful of other indie bands that are relatively unknown to the mainstream listeners, took the risk to unleash themselves doing Euro and South America concert. And they did it!!! I just dont see why L'Arc won't take the chance. Im sure the impact would be MASSIVE.

Yeah you are right. Especially Dir en Grey's influence in Germany gets bigger and bigger. Although I don't like them so much they've made it to perform on Rock am Ring ( I guess it was Rock am Ring). It's more than impressive when you think about that Diru is a japanese band.
I'm sure that L'Arc would also be a big act here in Germany or in Europe.
I guess they really don't know how large their fan community is here.

large?
i've never actually met any L'Arc fan "live" . and I'm studying japanese and am in touch with a lot of japan admiring people. the most of them don't know L'arc, the rest are Diru fans ( bleh ) , and those who left know L'Arc, but don't care about them and wouldn't go to their concerts. The most people here, who know japanese music, only know and like those horror visual shocking bands Crazy Shake Head
i've also haven't met a lot of german fans (i'm talking bout germany here ^^ ) in the internet either. the most of the fans active in the internet communities are from USA indeed, or so it seems.

I've seen a lot of fans in Leipzig. But didn't talk to them I was too busy with buying some things. I dunno I'm splitted in two halfs when it comes to L'Arc in Europe. On the one hand I want to see L'Arc but on the other hand I'm frightend. Frightend because I dunno if the fandom here in germany is so big to gather an audience of more than 1000 people. AND the fangirly stuff. I dunno I hate it.

It's quite funny to see L'Arc~en~Ciel contradicting themselves sometimes. For example, we always kyaa~ing them for being smart (with lyrics and music) but they too can be dense sometimes. I mean, they don't even know they have fan outside of Japan. How can't we be as one(pun intended) when all they ever see in Japan.

Here's the irony. Will they be a 20th Anniversary with all the sticks they are inhaling everyday? Hyde-sama...if by any chance you're reading this(that would be 0.0000% probability) please please please come to EastAsia and perform. Let me see your live at least once(before...the answer is under you feet calling you). Then I will die a happy and sedentary fan.

This is taken from http://www.l-ark.co.uk/l/bbs/index.html
At the last Danger Crue, SID (I think it's a dare) asked Hyde to promise him for a nipple pierce. So what do you guys think?

For me...nipple pierce is fine as long as he flashes it here and there for me to see and ogle but seriously I'm against nipple pierce. Most of his fan(Hydeist) is flaming him to a no-nipple-pierce-champain but knowing him...I'll bet he'll get another devil ring to add into his collection.

PS: If anybody out there can read and write Japanese and is a Hydeist...please tell him to fasten up the process of formation Le-Ciel fan club overseas version because I'll be the first to join! And please make an English version of Hydeist as well!

Hello!
What?!?? Nipple piercing??! O_______O
I know it's not uncommon among jrock artists and am not against it but.. *pick jaw from the ground*

Take care both of u. Hope the DVDs made up for the illnesses.^^

ryuusei
I see that u are free now. All the best in your projects. Did u manage to catch L'Anniversary on tv?
I have watch Light My Fire and half way through Grand Cross and I don't think it is the same as those separate lives. I have never stumble upon any laruku bootlegs before in M'sia.

Asuka Tsuzuki, steffibj
Thanks for the info, asuka^^
From what I've watched, correct me if I'm wrong, the concerts aren't the same as those sold separately?

Meiko
So far, it's very satisfying. I can't say that everything is perfect BUT I dishing off my whole year saving on this is totally worth it. Ibara no Namida's setting was splendid at night at the Grand Cross. And as Promised Land was the first laruku song I love, it's performances are walks down memory lane for me.
Whoops! I'm ranting too much.

I'm not sure if here live a lot of big fans. But everyone I asked
know LArc (of cause not everyone but you know what I mean : P)
and don't dislike them...

You have been writing about the situation in Europe, so I'll say something about L'Arc~en~Ciel fans in Poland. The situation here is a bit better than in Germany, because most of J-Rock fans has heared about Laruku. In fact, in my home town - which is a middle of nowhere ( about 120.000 inhabitants) there are about 20 or even 30 people that are interested in Laruku. The town, where I study, which is about 1000.000 ihabitants, there are few hundreds, even maybe thousand fans of J-Rock, so it's quite a lot. But still everybody in Poland envy you - German fans - because you have everything earlier and bigger than we Grumble For example - you have Gan-Shin - and we have to import the CD's from Germany, concerts - bands like MUCC and Diru play in your country, or even TV - the only japanese PV's I've watched in my TV where on german MTV Shameful Cry We don't have nothing... But it's slowly starts to change. Altough, if there would be a concert in Germany, I would surely go. We have to hope that someday it will happen...

No in the latest animania Dune was announced as the album which was released in 2004. It was simply a fault.
That's why nobody is really sure about the fact if gan-shin will release SMILE, which was released in year 2004 or Dune which was definitely released earlier.
But when we can trust gan-shin it will be Dune.

gc:
no the lives in the box are not the same as the earlier dvd releases of the light my fire tour and so on.

Yeah, about fan's, they're fantastic... I remember my beginning with L'Arc - I went for a manga fans meeting on the town sqare, and I met a guy, who showed me that day Blurry Eyes PV. Altough I was shocked, I've loved it from the beginning.. It was about summer 2001, and I think that quy was a pioneer in my town.. Those days I had larcish parties, when we ate Japanese Food, made ourselves make-up - I remember that people stared at us like we were aliens Bonk and of course we were listening and singing Laruku songs.. I know that such people still exist, but the are a minor part of fans.. Nowadays everybody are interested in Japanese music mainly by the influence of Japanese culture.. I remember my early L'Arc days as fantastic ones..

Houko did the german translation of the lyrics bring you so much fun as it does for me. I'm correcting them with the brother of my boyfriend and I'm crying because I'm laughing so hard. I only say The color is singing... Die Farbe singt XD
