@a-nesuto : Thank you, but i have different point of view, it's ok right ?, when i saw her PB Castella , i was thinking "ow, she is using her sex appeal now", that is my opinion, i think it's all right for her, coz' as i wrote, she has it, and i think it doesn't matter how old you are, you can use your sex appeal if you have it, i am sorry if my reply looks too offense, ok !

i've been seeing a lot of Maki lately in varous mag's.....
nice pictures,

the story is like other school drama, but it's a bit dark i think.
maki-chan char is cold, emotionless & misterious.

the drama is crash & burn like teppan shoujo...
poor maki-chan...she's not get good drama recently...
well, i hope her movie argentine hag & love on sunday is a good movie..
and of course always-sanchome 2, hope it a box-office smash & swept all the awards again like the first one

I think the season is what is hurting Seito Shokun! the most - I've noticed most of the dramas that are airing during Spring are of the comedy/romance/light kind - but Seito Shokun has been dark and gloomy with twists. Though it probably has a better theme song than most of the other dramas
I'm anxiously waiting for subs for episode 3, but I still like it - I was watching it originally for Maki, but now I care about the story and where it's (inevitably) going. I haven't watched that many school dramas, so it's not that boring to me - I find it more relaxing to watch than Gokusen, which was the only school drama I finished, and the over-the-topness both irritated and amused me at the same time. Plus, I was really only fast forwarding the parts to Sawada Shin and Yankumi interaction, anyway.
Teppan Girl on the other hand was a complete mess, I don't think the writers knew whether to be funny or serious at the right time, and I think only the 'bad' girl and her henchmen managed it well because they were so campy, but poor Maki-chan and her love interest were kind of stuck. It had a good cast but that couldn't save the poor writing/execution of it. But she's only been acting for four years and her career is still blooming, so I can't say this is going to be the END for her or anything - I mean, surely even Nakama Yukie has had some bad shows at the start.
But it looks like she'll be very busy for the rest of this year and 2008 - to be in a NHK historical drama is a pretty big thing, isn't it? I don't see any of the other popular teen actors she's often compared with managing that.

you know, i think maki should give more attention when she picks role or drama, coz' like you told before, maki isn't get good drama recently

is it interesting ? and can you tell me the synopsis ?

Maki's going to be costarring with Aoi Miyazaki in a NHK historical drama - and it's supposed to be 40+ episodes, spread out over a year. Maki's role is that of the emperor's sister who is married off in a political alliance.
Aoi's role in the drama was written about as early in December 2006, and Maki was recently announced as her costar - their respective husbands and the other characters haven't been announced yet.
Also in 2008, Maki's going to be starring in the movie adaptation of the manga Arcana, whose lead character is coincidentally also named Maki.
So I wouldn't be too worried about her career, honestly - she's getting work and she has a few CMs under her belt, and she has a good reputation in the industry and again, she is only 18 - if she keeps it up, she can have a long and distinguished career, without worrying about the fickle audience losing interest in her.
