Personally I'm a big Sony fan (currerntly using their CD-RW DVD-R combo drive) so I'll probably end up getting a Sony DVD-burner. ANy recommended models for me to look at and how stable is DVD burning so far. Like do you guys ever run into bad burns and are generic CDs safe. I'm not sure what's the shelf life for a dvd. |
yes i'm leaning toward them because of all the good feedback Pioneer gets...

Hey what do you guys think about External DVD burner?
Is the quality less than the internal ones?? |
i have a slow hp external usb cd-burner and its never failed...
something about the added requirements of external dvd burners [all the data moving at fast streaming pace] just knocks out the option for pc's without firewire/usb2... so your paying just for the slow burner & unknown portability issues.
unless someone has an external and can comment on their experiences?

OMG = oh my god
OGM is a container format, just putting bookmarks, subtitles, multiple audio streams into one file.

This looks like a good explanation of how to use ogm for windows users: http://ld-anime.faireal.net/guide/ogm-en
But I wouldn't know ... my favorite software is Linux!

Man, the config options changed again - its getting more complicated on each new release.
I like the new 2-pane display and the statistics screen though. Also, lots more options now for auto-seed, priority list, and tracker. | is the new one less of a resource hog than the old one, arn? Maybe more, sounds like.... _________________

The changelog mentions that it uses less resources. I didnt really notice though since i havent experienced any slow downs since 2.04. I did upgrade my java as well to the newest version...
EDIT: Just checked my stats. It doest go over 20% cpu and mem usage is around 28mb. _________________

Need a bit of help..
Anybody can reccomend any good media editing freeware? The most important features I'm looking for are:
1. Capturing mpeg screenshots into jpeg images.
2. cut and edit mpeg videos.
3. extracting audio from mpeg videos
4. converting between different audio formats..
I had Blaze Media Pro trial and it was excellent. I'm looking for something similar..
Thanks in advance guys!!! _________________ Himawari, yureru, taiyou no shita de..
