Maison Ikkoku

Next month the live action adaptation of Yumiko Takahashi's seminal manga/anime romance-comedy "Maison Ikkoku" drama series will finally be debuting on Asahi TV. I can't wait to see it!

Hopefully it will be better than the previous live action movie that came out in the late 80s (that was disappointing).

I wonder if it will retain Saito Yuki's great theme song "Kanashimi O Konnichiwa"?

There have to be more eps, since the ending is widely widely open, but there were no hints that this show is going on, like a sample of ep. 2 or somthing like that.



Edit: After watching the show infos, i saw that there were people that didn�Lt show up in this ep. . It seems that there will be more eps..

i think not... thats why its called SP... SP is always the last show. no continuation or anything.

I beg to differ...I think this SP was just a prelude to a full season...why bother showing new characters if nothing comes of it..what's the point?...also, the SP is not always the last show, usually but not always...the Tiger and Dragon SP was the start of the show, and was aired first...

in my experience in watching dramas. SP is always the last. but since you mention about the Tiger and Dragon SP. hmm i dont know. but showing some new characters doesnt mean that they will be a new season.
