I think there definitely has to be, because the drama left off on a cliffhanger. But I don't think it's been confirmed as to when it'll be filmed/released.

Kurosagi was actually the first J-drama I have ever watched....Yamapi was soooooo sexy. I loved his "bang" parts... I hope there will be a Kurosagi 2....I think Kurosaki and Yoshikawa should have been together. But something tells me that Kurosaki would end up just being mean to her

'Kurosagi' becomes film, Yamapi to star

Tomohisa Yamashita of NEWS has been given his first starring role in a movie. The film is based on the "Kurosagi" drama series that aired on TBS last spring. Yamashita and several others, including Maki Horikita and Yui Ichikawa, will reprise their roles from the drama. Yasuharu Ishii has been named as director, and the film is slated for release next spring.

Is it true or just a rumor

On the 6th, we discovered that TBS�fs drama �gKurosagi�h which aired last April with NewS�fs Yamashita Tomohisa as a swindler, will become a movie. This is Yamasita�fs first movie role. He will be a swindler who coolly deceives other swindlers who have evil intentions. Horikita Maki and Ichikawa Yui will also be acting in this. The drama had an overall viewing average of 15.7 %, and with this popularity, it seems that �gKurosagi�h will have an interesting plot to reveal next spring.

Yamashita�fs break came with his first leading role in a drama, and this time, it�fll be his first leading role in a movie.

�gKurosagi�h is a hit comic that has sold over 350 thousand sets. The swindlers who deceive others with words are the �gshirosagi�h. The swindlers who play with people�fs feelings are �gakasagi�h. And the one who only aims to take large sums of money from shiro and akasagi is a Kurosaki, Yamashita�fs character, who goes by the name of Kurosagi. This enjoyable human empathy drama�fs popularity is bringing it back to the big screen.


The drama�fs producer says, �gI originally wanted to make a movie. It shows the bitter regret that people have when people they trust betray them. As they are deceived, how people trust others. I want to bring out people�fs acts and souls as well as the human nature."

On Yamashita, he compliments, �gHe sticks perfectly to the main character of the drama, and he becomes a hero that rids the world of bad people�h. Yamashita: �gI was hoping for a movie role, and to be able to be the leading role in the drama was really worthwhile�h, he says thankfully. �gIn this Kurosagi role, the character is totally opposite of the drama I am doing now (Fuji Television�fs �gProposal Daisakusen�h in which he is a man who cannot confess his love to his childhood friend) so I will try my best to return to Kurosaki. I would love to see a proper ending but I think it'll go the way of Tokyo Friends Movie.

If the movie does / interest remains high I imagine they would consider a 2nd season. Nice to see everyone came back too.

Anyone know (or care to speculate) why they choose to make a movie instead of a SP?

I'm glad they opted for a movie instead of a second season. The second season would prolly turn out to be just like the first, with various swindling situations that would only stretch out the plot until it becomes lame and repetitive. With a movie, there will be more plot and more of what we want to see.

Wise decision on their part.

Wise decision indeed - the plotline surely had potential - I hope they spice it up a little, I would love to see more action scences and clever twists! And the female parts should be less annoying/whining, please!

What killed the series for me were the lameness of some tricks, Maki�Ls useless attempts of stopping Kurosagi and the childish competition between Maki and Yui over winning Kurisagi�Ls love. This "highschool behaviour" was funnily pointed out by Kurosagi himself in one of the final episodes.

I am SO psyched!!!! I also believe a movie was the better option we don't want another Gokusen 2!!!
I just hope they give it a proper ending and don't do another open ender... that would REALLY suck! I want closure darnit XD

I hope they dont make the same mistake as Gokusen 2 (even though I still liked it a little). However as long as Yamapi is still Kurosaki and he is still helping those who have gotten swindled then im sure it will be good
