Zephyrscarlet, I think I definitely agree with you there - I can't wait for the new Hero movie to come out to see if they develop things between them and if that same chemistry is there.

Thanks for your opinion
I agree with you that Good Luck is just not one that is particularly outstanding. I dislike Kou Shibasaki!!! The storyline just dragged for too long with uninteresting twists and I don't understand why ANA would want to sponsor the show because the ANA planes sure seemed to be faulty in almost every episode. I think Good Luck achieved high ratings because Kou Shibasaki was one of the up and coming actresses of that time and audiences wanted to see if she would work well with Kimura as a co-lead, since the directors saw potential in her and casted her to work with Kimura for the second time.
Back to Pride, it's just too much romantic fluff for me.
1) Too much slow motion (but with lovely background music, I must say)
2) Too much fluffy over-dramatic conversations
3) Halu is really too perfect for a guy. Almost every Kimura character had a quirk or a flaw, but Halu seems almost flawless.
4) Aki is too perfect too. Way too subservient for a woman, which was annoying for me.
Sorry to all Pride fans out there, but besides the soundtrack, I really dislike Pride. The whole show just has a depressing tone for me throughout.
Besides Love Generation, the next favourite would be Long Vacation. It's rather old and does give 1990s vibes, but the two leads grow on you. It's also cute to know that Kimura had a crush on Yamaguchi Tomoko while filming this. The cast is an star-studded one, this show is THE ONE that propelled all their careers. Especially for Kimura, Matsu and Takenouchi.
I like Million Stars too, excellent plot. I like Sanma a lot in this show. But it's not the kind I would watch again since I know the ending. It would be disturbing to watch it again.

Hello all!
I have been lurking here for about 300 pages or so....thought I would finally join and say hello, particularly since you are trying to reach page targets for everyone's birthday!
Yoroshiku Onegai Shimasu
As you can probably tell from my chosen name, Takuya is my ichiban, for his looks, talent, etc., with Shingo a close second for his humor. I am looking forward to next week's SmapxSmap Cannes special with the two of them.
And, I start my visit with you all with a question - does anyone know if it is possible to hear What's Up Smap on Tokyo FM from outside Japan? I have managed to get the internet radio for the station to work, but it doesn't seem to be live programming....sorry if this has already been asked a thousand pages ago...
I always love it when people post for the 1st time Megumi from the US. Shingo is dearest to my heart but I love them all! Nice to meet you
Hi Scrapped! For movies that SMAP members star in, I recommend Violins Across Time for Tsuyopon, Hong Kong Night Club for Shingo, Warai no Daigaku for Goro and Bushi no Ichibun for Takuya. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Hiro-chan in any movies. For songs....My favorite off of Pop Up is Paripia and Hoshizora no Shita de and from Sample Bang is Sweet Summer Surfin' Season and Dawn. For singles off the top of my head, Orenji, Arigatou, Show Your Smile, Bang Vacance just to name a few are wonderful! Happy Smapping! _________________

yay for the utaban with kanjani... i believe it's in one of the episodes i just rented from the video store today. I can't wait!
I started watching bushi no ichibun.... but only got about 30 minutes into it. I still need to watch the dvd that came out on his birthday last year, "ichibun kimura takuya"... that came with tons of cool extras too.
The english subtitles for the movie(bushi no ichibun) that comes with the dvds are good subs too for people who need english subs and can afford the japanese dvds, i highly recommend it. you get tons of cool little extras _________________

Wah Hi guys, thanks for so many responses, I don't get to come on the net as much as most so I had a few comments to read this morning ^_^
Anyway your suggestions are all very much appreciated, as I said I'd like to see them all acto and I'd like to hear their singing, now I've got a starting point ^_^
@Oyabin - XD It's ok to have MANY Tsuyoshi dramas... I'm like that with Kimu I just can't decide between the, all!
@Qnuy - You liked Karei-Nari Ichizoku? I watched that very recently and I thought it was one of Kimu's best performances yet, an amazing dorama, I mark it up there as one of the best (never thought I'd like THAT kind of dorama XD)
@KimuraFreak - I'm not really qualified to say it because I only posted here myself the other day also but WELCOME !!! ^_^
I can see I have one opinion, which may not be appreciated here XD Pride is one of the few doramas I voted for... I thought Kimu and Yuko had the best chemistry *cowers*
I'm also a HUGE fan of Good Luck! I watched that show 3 times in a row!!!!
So far of all the Kimu dramas I have seen I have loved them, I have seen (in order of watching) Good Luck, Pride, Engine, Hero, Karei-Naru Ichizoku, Hero SP (can't wait for the movie in September, hopefully Kuriyo and Amamiya will get together!!! )
There's still a lot I wanna see.
I saw Shingo in Shinsengumi, I thought he was very good in it. I was always put off watching Shingo dramas (don't know why) but I watched Shinsengumi and he really grew on me so i would like to see some of his other stuff, I think he's sweet
I have the Tsuyoshi drama Koi ni Ochitara... I haven't watched it yet, it came a few days ago and I've had much drama to watch. I brought it initially because Tsutsumi is in it and he's one of my favourite J-Actors but now I have another reason too ^_^
Anyway now I have lots of new doramas to look out for thanks to your suggestions, that should keep me busy, the way I like it Right now though I'm off to listen to the songs you guys suggested! _________________

Thanks for the welcome gshock99 and beatnsin83
I listened to some of the song selections from you guys the other day and I really liked a few of them so I am quite tempted now to buy one of their concert dvds or something now (I like watching concert dvds)
I was thinking about getting the newest one... but that will be after I next get paid on the 20th because I'm running a tad low on cash at the mo (now the majority of my moolah is going into a savers account) _________________
