She commented "Until now I didn't want to write my own lyrics because I felt incredibly shy about it. There are no lies in the lyrics. I want to old hands and walk outside. I want to love more than I'm being loved. I would never cheat!". When asked about past relationships she answered, "When you part it's because your love turned into hatred. I've never been dumped yet". During the event she also announced a nationwide live tour was planned for this summer.

Actually I'm pretty sure she meant that this is the last tour she will do, unfortunately.
But then again, she was not going to do it this year so...
Maybe she'll change her mind and do another one in two years or something!

And yeah, by "last music show" she meant for the "Namida no niji promotion marathon" (although she's appearing in Music Fighter next week but that's been taped already).

I still donLt get it why she might want to quit singing. I mean her carrer success is 50% from singing and 50% from acting. So why quit one? But, Ok. If she wants to do it ILm OK with it, of course. She shouldnLt do anything she doesnLt want to.
But, if this might be the last tour, it even more important to get to Japan and see her Sweat

On one of those TV shows a while back.....what was it Music Fighter or something. Didn't Aya say she enjoys acting more???

Oh well, I mean as long as she still does some openings or ending for her dramas, then its all good.

Yes, she did say that a while ago. But actually she already acts way more than sheLs singing.
Well, if she quits itLd be a big loss. But if she really wantLs to ILm OK with that, of course.
I just hope thatLll be her decision then and not OscarLs because she could do more money by acting in even more doramas the year and more photoshootings for magazine appearances. Sweat After all a Live Tour takes a lot of time and she wouldnLt have much time to so other jobs in that time.
But I think this is all more like she wantLs to concentrate mainly on acting but doesnLt give up singing for good. No more Tours because they take so long and she still will do some concerts and TV apperances.

She didn't mention quiting music though.

She only meant she will stop touring to have more time to focus on her acting and other gigs (I think she will start making more movies...)

I hope so too - both more films AND Azumi 3 ( as long as Kitamura or another director good at action scenes is at the helm!)

Well, I guess the Japanese readers here'll just have to keep their eyes on her blog and official site .....

And now for something completely different! hehe I was just wondering - what are people's favourite Aya songs APART from her singles? List 5 tracks you'd love to hear her play Live on her Tour, NOT including singles - here's mine :

1/ Breath of my Heart
2/ Tears
3/ Shinijirarenai = Shinjitai
4/ Shiroi Yuki ga Furu Yoru ni
5/ Shimokita ijou harajuku miman (French Bossu version)

Btw, given the latest single is a double A-side, where's the PV for 'Save Me'?? Shouldn't there be one? And shouldn't Aya perform it a few times, instead of 'Namida no Niji'? Head Scratch

I think there wonLt be a Save me PV. 'Namida no Niji' is the actual single and 'Save me' only a add-on song

Hmmm ok. I can understand why she hesitated to do it this year, to the extent that it was busy busy year. But ... I bet there are other reasons.
ANd well, when I read your translations, it's as if the 2 previous live tours weren't decided by her own will ; contrary to nowadays she wasn't the only one debating.
Anyway, until now she's been doing a live tour every 2 years. Knowing that, why talking about the "last" live tour now if not thinking already she probably won't do it 2 years later ? Something doesn't fit to my brain, after all 2 years .. Aya should knows she has time to decide whether or not she'll do a 2009 tour. There is something else we ignore.

maybe shes thinking that due to her last two singles not being that big she might not have the chance to do music for much longer.

WHy neo european style ? Well it's teh first impression which came to my mind Sweat First, the 4th dress carries the colors of Russia Sweat It's the first thing I saw. Then I saw the 2nd dress, have u never studied the gipsy people in high school ? You know this nomad people existing a little everywhere in South Europe, Spain, Hungaria ... It's obvious. ANd finally I stopped on the romantic dress, and thikning about it, well like I said, looks like a french 19e century style WITHOUT the big stretching around the hips. Well dunno, ins't that obvious Sweat They doesn't look like luxury robes you can see at fashion procession/march , which conversely are 100% creative, some with questionable tastes, some are good surprises etc. Aya's dresses on this set have a cultural scent.
That's all Sweat But, again, I'm not a stylish.

Haha Free so you run away from every piece of feminine attraction except of ... bikinis ! rofl

Never read a word about save me PV and I don't understand either. At this point, you can be sure there won't be one.

@NININANA : thx ! I now have them in HQ ... except the 3rd one which is new to me.

i actually researched any possibility of Kitamura returning to the Azumi franchise a while back but couldnt find any positive word Sad
HOWEVER. there actually was a film relesed under the title Azumi 3:Kazumi
which actually went to print but following a law suit is now no longer in printing :p
the title character also had a blatant topless scene which is pretty distasteful for the Azumi franchise and of course Aya-chan would never do such a thing. i thought i would just share this information with you guys
but of course Fingers crossed for Azumi 3
