Hiya guys (and ladies too jk )
While I knew of Gackt from way before, I never had a chance to listen to any of his songs, that's until few days ago when I seen an episode of Music station where he performed. I liked the song he was singing "Returner." He sounds A LOT like Hyde and the whole Larc en ciel style (not saying he copied hehe, just they sound alike which is good).
I'm a big fan of Hyde's Roentgen Stories album (I pretty much like every song in that album) just to give ya an idea of the type of style I like. (cause I'm not the biggest fan of Larc en ciel's really hard rock songs)
Based on that, could you guys be kind enough as to recommend me any of your favorites songs, or any you think I would like from gackt?

Well, I'm not that familiar with Hyde (only know one of his songs...and none by L'Arc-En-Ciel).

well, i don't think that Gackt sounds like Hyde or Laruku o.o
anyway many people that hear Gackt hear Hyde or Laruku too. Keps's playlist is good, if you could see Mizerable and Secret Garden PV would be great

Thank you sooo much, Really appreciate the response and the to actually upload the songs for me is more than kind, thank you.
"Mizerable" was simply AMAZING!.
My favorite song of the week (quite possibly of the month hehe) I think I have played it over 20 times already X_X.
That's exactly the type of songs I like.
Anything else close to that? Cause wow, I'm awe-struck, just f'ing great hehehe.
Once again, can't thank you enough, just that one song is all worth it hehehe.

I also seen the two videos (Mizerable and Secret Garden) and while Mizerable was pretty damn cool, I didn't understand Secret Garden at all, if anything it felt a bit racist and all over the place hehe. I understood the angel/ghost thing but thats about it... Someone care to explain whats going on in that video? _________________

you might wanna try some malice mizer tracks. "au revoir" and "le ciel" are my faves.
gackt solo, mars is his best album in my opinion, however they are all superb and contain gems.
seki-ray is another you need to check out! as is vanilla. vanilla is a more poppy song than some but so catchy its awsome. its difficult to recommend gackt songs, not just because there are so many awsome songs to recommend, but also i find his best songs are the album tracks that weren't released as singles! _________________

haha yes. i wish i could do that with my hair. i'm trying to grow mine long and it looks bad!
oddly enough he did do a song for one of the final fantasy games i believe.
was it redemption? either that one or one from his diabolos album i think. _________________

I didn't like Vanilla at all when I first heard it, but now it's one of my favourites.
I like the video to Vanilla too....even though it's pretty weird.

TaintedWisdom, have you seen the video for Metamorphoze yet? It's my favourite Gackt video by a long way. It's brilliant - like a really exciting film.
@ Nubs_cooper67 - I have just 3 studio albums - Moon, Rebirth and Mars, but I think Mars is the best. What about the opening track Ares - one of the most wonderful things I've heard by anyone. But WAY too short.
I quite agree that some of the best tracks are not singles - I have uploaded mainly singles because I think they are probably the most immediately accessible to a newcomer to Gackt.

up until a few months ago i had no gackt cds then went mad and bought all his albums lol
you should buy crescent as thats awsome and his best after Mars.
oh the opening track on mars is superb, ares, and the song after it....my god that song still sends shivers down my spine. love the contrast between the calm beauty of ares to the awsome bowiesque rock of asrum dream. _________________

Just seen the vid for metamorphoze and hahaa I swore there for a second this was going to be final fantasy related (some space battle or something hhaha) but it ended up being some gundam robotic suit type stuff.
