Dunno.
He doesn't realise (or remember) all the different things that go into having a working email/internet system: the local network, the phone line, the local exchange, the ISP, where the website/email is hosted..
He thinks that everything should work 100% of the time.

He sure is dating himself, isn't he?
One of my colleagues, who isn't old at all (51, I believe) thinks that computers are evil and that one day they'll take over the world. So she isn't willing to learn about them at all.
Problem is, she DOES enjoy doing powerpoint presentations in class, so she's constantly bugging me to set things up for her. I don't mind so much, but sometimes it takes up my entire prep, and all I get in return is more complaining about computers in general. _________________

Called a customer today, this kid answers the phone and I said, "I'm calling to troubleshoot your DSL problem." The kids turns and yells, "Hey Mom, the DSL troublemaker is calling!"

The problem is almost always on the seat. I wouldn't be surprise if you had people complaining their connection no longer works since they put the modem in the microwave. _________________
One of my student call more than 3 times in this morning, just to confirm whether he can convo next month, I told him already that he can't join it because it is too late and he didn't submit his thesis yet, but looks like he don't understand and still wanted to convo~~

maybe not the right thread as I am going to talk c*** about job interviews. But jobhunting is a job itself anyway ...
I had one last Friday at a well-renowed consultancy and since I arrived early, I was seated in the waiting area. While waiting, I overheard a women saying to the receptionist: "Do you have the CVs of the people coming this afternoon already printed out? I didnLt have a chance to look at them. Oh my god I hate to waste my afternoon interviewing a bunch of idiots."
When she got her printouts she had nothing better to do than to sit close to me reviewing CVs (most likely including mine), sighing and rolling her eyes.
I donLt think she realised that I was one of the candidates as there were many people in the waiting area and she didnLt really look around.
She was one of three interviewers, the other two being quite nice and maybe she had a somewhat bad day but honestly I reckon itLs the most unprofessional behaviour that I have ever accidentally witnessed. Oh well what a waste of time!

Did she recognize you as the person she had sat beside in the waiting room when you entered the interview room? _________________

We've been getting a new kind of scam email lately: We get emails, usually from a Hotmail/Yahoo/Excite etc address, asking for pricing for something that is similar to what we sell, but not exactly the same. They always say they are located in Australia. When you email them back to tell them what you have in stock, they want to order 20 (or 15, or 10) and pay by credit card, and ship to Africa somewhere. When you ask them for a phone number, it's always in the USA somewhere... it seems really fishy, so we've been ignoring them.
