it was so fun to see Juri extremely excited at the view of the nyc skyline from the bus. way to go for them to paint the town and take it over! i love how they werent shy whatsoever on the boat, lady liberty, etc. and their little jokes during their own introduction after the film was a real treat
i kinda have a 2nd degree connection to the Swing Girls, thru the Naked Cowboy, haha. i've also had my pic taken with him a couple of times.
wish i knew about this film back in '04, i would've made a trip to nyc for all this.

Just a few small observations about the NY and LA promo tours...
Hiraoka Yuuta and Kanjiya Shihori not present in NY, but they were in LA (and of course, Motokariya Yuika missing in both...I hate that she wasn't able to do any post film stuff)
Big turnout for the film showing in NY...SRO...but in LA, the girls outnumbered
the audience...must've been a bit of a disappointment...
I loved how they walked around in NY wearing their uniforms and carrying their instruments...NYers scarcely gave them a second glance... _________________

i think the ONLY way to get asian films exposed in the USA is reaching out full force on the internet such as this forum and word-of-mouth. we will never see anything asian promoted on regular tv, record stores, etc. the director/promoters of this film should've done this from the start. and we shouldnt be all raving about it after the fact of excellent missed opportunities
the best i can do with a time machine is my die cast model of the Delorean _________________
