Hanazakari no Kimitachi e

Maki always acted well!.. owh wait... there's Kurosagi *shivers*
but anyways, I really think the casting was almost perfect. The 3 leads is good & Maki is adorable (tegoshi yuya???).
The writers were looking for originality but with the exact same feel of the manga which is good

BUT

there's something lacking that I can't put my finger on it.
maybe this kind of style is overdone making it feels like repetitive?
the marathon scene & the bench scene is too predictable for my liking. like yanie-chan, I felt the sfx timing was off too.
maybe its too well casted that there's nothing to surprise us? I dunno... i like Shun but...
he needs sumthing to freshen up the character.

I've never read the manga or seen any Hana Kimi related material but I loved the first episode. Then again I could be a bit bias when it comes to it as I'm a Maki Horikita fan...

Even as a boy she looks soooo cute hahaha.

I have seen the 1st episode and truly enjoyed it. Actually, i don't really mind the changes they made for the 1st episode since i found it's kinda pleasantly surprising to see the new things. Some of you may not except the fact they changed few things from the manga but if you try to watch the 1st episode like to see a total new drama, you may enjoy it more.
I don't think the 1st episode was that bad like some of you said above. Back to the drama, i thought the acting's a lot better than the Taiwanese version and look more real. Actually, i couldn't make myself to finish the Taiwanese version cuz i can't stand the exaggerated expressions of the casts.
Maki really impressed me with her acting skill. She acts like a boy with a pretty face just like Mizuki in the manga. And Shun did a great job as Sano too. About Toma, i just can't comment right now since i need to see how he develops Nakatsu's personality later before judging him.
Yusuke, who plays the ghost guy, did amazing in my opinion. I prefer him more than the actor playing this role in Taiwanese version. Besides, Yusuke's more handsome than the other.
Hiro as Nanba with his sexy voice just make the role more interesting to watch. I like both Hiro and Danson (tw version) as nanba since they're both great in a different way.
For the music, when i first listened to 'Peach' by Otsuka Ai, i found it's kinda weird but after watching the 1st episode, the song just grows on me more.
Overall, i'm looking forward to seeing the rest of this drama since next episode even looks more exciting to watch. For some people who haven't seen this drama yet, i suggest you should give it a try.

Im sooooo happy!!!! i finally got to see it on crunchy roll

Kawaisou Oguri yet i love when he is acting tough. However you can see some of Hanazawa in him when he was reading the book. Maki was sooo lucky to be on his back....eeeek i cant wait till the second episode!!!!

Oh definitely this drama has a Hana yori dango feel to it.
From the overall exagerated high school system, down to Oguri/Hanawawa.

Hana yori dango is one of my top favorite dramas, so this only helps it hahaha.

I haven't watched it yet and I have refrained from reading your comments like a good girl I don't get to come on the net everyday, today was my first time since Monday and wasn't I VERY pleasantly surprised to see subs for this already!!!
And so I have spent my time tonight downloading the first ep! I plan to watch it as soon as I get chance which will be 5pm tomorrow... as soon as I step through the doorstep from work... or maybe I should have the day off sick No I wouldn't do that I'm too good ^______^
Anyway I've seen some screens and I'm VERY desperate now so roll on 5pm Friday

I think they have Americans confused for Europeans hahaha. I have loads of really white friends, and when I say really white, I mean true Americans from like generations after generations, and hardly any of them have blonde hair.... Now my Irish and german friends seem to have blonde hair the most. As for the eyes is mostly green and brown and not really blue. I think this is the reason why it says at the beginning of the drama to "please forgive the foolishness of this drama as is fictional" cause wow if thats their view have of Americans they in for a shocker hahaha.

Hehehe, sorry bout that had no clue you were a girl. In either case, hehe yeah I think those fan girls might eat ya up anyways hehe. As for him being/looking boring, isn't that what made him famous? In Hana Yori Dango he was even more boring looking, but I think thats what makes him who he is in the dramas hehe.

can i be the one to rip u up? lol.........nah juz joking...=P everyones got different opinions and taste...........to me i think shun is doing a good job as sano~~ im a long time hanakimi manga fan and also watched the TW version and i gotta say both have their good points.....well JPN hanakimi has only shown 1 episode but its looking greaaaat.........i think mizuki in JPN version is much better than the TWN version....even though its only been 1 episode but i couldnt really stand ella as mizuki, it just wasnt right.....

TWN version's ending wasnt that good so if there really is a sequel i would love to know how it will turn into...........but i gotta say the manga is probably the best as it is the original afterall~~

i can see a lot of great acting in this, mizuki, sano, nakatsu, nanba, the ghost guy and i cant wait to see more...its very light and entertaining to watch....can't wait cant wait!!! ^^

. Maki's acting in Hanakimi is better compared to Kurosagi..

Almost similar to She's the Man (Amanda Bynes) - that movie was hillarious.
Cant wait for the second episode Hoping for the other episodes to have more interesting and funny scenes.
