I made it thru about 10 minutes of episode 2 when I realized I had to clean the toilet bowl which I knew would be a lot more fun.

i think i saw about 10 minutes as well, and i realize now that cleaning your toilet bowl after a 50 person taco bell catered party would have been more fun.

Starting Sept. 1st, in what was the old "Dotch Cooking" time slot, 8 p.m. channel 18 is going to start showing dramas with english subtitles w00t! And they're not fooling around either. They're starting off with Karei naru Ichizoku the latest Kimura drama. From what I've heard and read, and judging by the cast, this ain't no fangirl fluff. Applaud

Miracle miracle.... Dancing

Sent an email to CH18 and actually got a reply.

Here's their reply and you can see my original complaint below their reply:

Dear Ralph,
Thank you for your viewership and inquiry as we always greatly appreciate it. Can you please tell me what are you are viewing our channel? Our operators in the control room keep a close eye on the color & audio levels at all time and make any necessary adjustments to broadcast the best picture quality. Can you please tell me what are you reside in and what cable company you are with? I will forward your inquiry to our engineering team and have them look into it. Thank you.

Regards,
Emiko

Question: Thank you for your Sunday night 9PM dramas.
Are you aware though that they broadcast extremely dark? Especially now that almost all the scenes take place at night, it becomes nearly impossible to see any detail in the scenes of a "Song To The Sun". I hope you can find some way to brighten up your broadcast so that we can enjoy the video as well as the audio. I have discussed it with various other viewers in different parts of the area and each one has the same problem of being able to see any details in the night scenes. thanking you in advance for remedying this problem,

Ralph Moratz

too bad it drones towards the end. Unfortunately, Kyoko and Izumi's characters aren't central enough to be given nearly enough face time to shine. And once again Kimtaku shows off his only 5 facial expressions.
imho.

Looks like channel 18 is going to air Hana yori Dango starting Sept. 23rd in the 9 p.m. slot. I know this is supposed to be a good drama, but, geez, it's got Matsujun in it and the bad part about watching a drama on broadcast TV is that there's no ff button. Shake Head

Looks like they'll be showing Jikou Keisatsu in the Sunday 9 pm slot starting Dec. 2nd. Wish it were Jikou Keisatsu 2 because I haven't seen that one yet, but anybody that hasn't seen the first one, I recommend it, Joe Odagiri is such a crack up as the nerdy cop. hehe
