ya I enjoyed antique too. I thought it was quite good show.

But I don't understand why no one likes the show above. My friends thinks this show is WIERD! I really enjoyed it maybe because of Matsuoka Masahiro.

Ooo, I like Tengoku ni ichiban chikai otoko 2 too~~~ Started to like Satoshi Tsumabuki from this drama! The story is very interesting, just a bit not satisfied with the ending~~~

iguana no musume. Part of my reason for posting is so I can vote for it. Saw it about 8 yrs ago and just loved it! I know it's not a happy story, but it just got me so involved in the character and and

Reviving a thread that's been ma-ke die dead ( pidgin English expression). The full title of this thread could be "dramas you love that nobody else does because often times nobody else has seen them."

Nagaru Onna (Boxing Woman): Emi Wakui in a fish-out-of-water story as a bookkeeper who finds herself managing a prize fighter. Mitsuri Fukikoshi is the boxer, Takehiko Ono is the gym owner, and you also have Ken Ishiguro and Yuki Amami thrown into the mix.

Ai wo Douda (What about Love): A comedy/drama about an incorrigible womanizing widower and his three daughters. Ken Ogata as the father and Misa Shimizu as the eldest daughter give excellent performances, but the best acting is done by Eriko Watanabe in a small role as the taken-for-granted mistress.

Aoi--Tokugawa Sandai: The best written, best acted Taiga drama I have seen. In addition, Masahiko Tsugawa's portrayal as Tokugawa Ieyasu is the best performance by an actor in any dorama, Taiga or otherwise, I have seen.

Riso no Joshi (Ideal Boss): A paternalistic manager at a travel agency is charged with mentoring and protecting three newbies who are in over their heads. Kyozo Nagatsuka plays the manager; Yasuko Matsuyuki, Yuriko Ishida, and Yoshino Kimura play the newbies.

Sweet Home: Tomoko Yamaguchi and Yoko Nogiwa battling it out at a kindergarten cram school. Well written and wonderfully acted, it is a hilarious, critical look at Japanese society.

Coach: A high-powered, female executive is banished to the boonies where she is put in charge of a rundown factory whose workers are more interested in playing baseball than in canning sardines. A cast deep and high in quality including Atsuko Asano, Anju Suzuki, Masahiko Nishimura, Reiko Takashima, and Takehiko Ono.

Good Mourning: A black comedy about a college researcher who is forced to run a funeral parlor upon the sudden death of her groom. Atsuko Asano and Kiichi Nakai are the leads. The yakuza funeral episode and the learning-how-to-put-on-a-mawashi scene are priceless.

Yagyu Ichizoku no inbo (Yagyu Conspiracy): Edo period dorama are seldom mentioned on this web site. This series ran for three years and focuses on the Yagyu family, retainers to the Tokugawa shogunate. Playing the legendary Yagyu Jubei is Sonny Chiba who was in his prime when this series aired. The first season is the best, with a well written script, full of intrigue, character development, and exciting fight scenes.

I recorded many an episode in that day and wished I hadn't recorded over them... I think there's a site that's selling most or all of the episodes, but at an outrageous premium... Whatever the market will bear, I suppose.

good show...saw it several years ago...too bad my vhs copy degraded to oblivion.
