Give me authentic Chinese (or rather, non-PE Chinese) food anyday! Hell, I'd even eat at that yummy Chinese place where I've heard rumors they had cats kept in cages before I eat PE food!

Speaking of food....I just ate at Gyu-kaku in Huntington Beach a few days ago and I noticed this newstand with a new free English Language magazine called "Japan Up!" The magazine covers Japanese cuisine and trends in Southern California, LA and OC. It's a great resource as they have tons of Japanese restaurant listings and adverts....they also have some food/drink reviews as well as recipes....all in English For the Japanese foodie crowd in SoCal...I recommend picking up a copy.

japanese cuisine seems to be picking up here, too. i now have a chioce of wagamama, little tokyo, teppanyaki and tampopo to go to locally. _________________
i love j-food so muchh... yum yum.... especially if you go tho the real japanese restaurant with japanese chef.. i don't like the "pretend" japanese resto...
I tried a new nattou brand yesterday. It seems I'm not the only one in town who eat this stuff. At least one other.
Some sort of red package. Instead of the usual karashi, there was some sort of brown jam. Whatever karashi mentai is, it tasted like crap. If you want to try nattou, skip this brand. It might be good with other food, but not really great with nattou. _________________
