wow, that's so ignorant it's scary. strange too since i'm sure there are a lot of Chinese ppl in Canada so you would think ppl would know the difference.

What would be even more scarier is if they walked away and "didn't get it".

You'd be surprised. I've heard a lot of "What! Japan is not in China?". Unless your speaking with an Asian guy or girl, some get confused easily, others are just ignorant. I guess you can't blame them, if they're not interested to the outside world and the farther they went is the mall. It's kind of annoying when they think Chinese cuisine is only egg rolls and fried rice, but can be funny when you exploit their stupidness. A guy I know thought halal was shawarma, but I explained to him that it was a pork burger marinated in beer. Oh yeah, make sure you ask for the extra bacon, it's delicious.
It may not be that bad on the west coast, especially in Vancouver. Might have a few TV channels and maybe even a radio station. I know all my coworkers thought I was insane, when I listened to speed a few years ago. You can't even tell people you're watching Japanese dramas, they look at you in a weird way. It's worst than to tell them you're addicted to porn and drugs. _________________

I waited all morning for my HP delivery, and it didn't come. So I went outside to check and found the tag on the door indicating that I had missed the delivery man and he was send my book off to the post office. I can't pick it up now until 5:00pm, which sucks cause I have dinner arrangements that I'm either gonna skip, or go late to.

Unauthorized charges on a credit card. Not only do I need to get a new account number, I have to list ALL the charges on a piece of paper BEFORE they remove it from my account, including the overlimit fee. What a mess.

Man, what a nightmare...
Been through that once a long long time ago: an inside job from B of A... And I don't mean the singer.
bad customer service here in OC/LA.....
it is unfortunate that good customer service is such a treat and rare thing, i had a young japanese american girl help me, and without greeting me , was so unfriendly and rude, mumbled something about chapstick? wtf?! and wouldn't give me any eye contact, and barely said thank you.....and this at a small japanese market(not mitsuwa and marukai).
damn, i really miss Japan's excellent customer service, where it is everywhere! those who have visited and been there, know exactly what i mean.
15 more minutes before I can go pick it up! Not that it matters, cause I still have to re-read the last three (I've just finished re-reading the third). At this rate I won't get to the last book until next weekend. >>sigh<<
@doc: YIKES! That's harsh. How'd it happen? _________________
Okay, so I went to the post office yesterday and it was CLOSED. Apparently it had been closed ALL DAY because the people who were supposed work all got sick.
So I had to wait until this morning. I just came back with book in hand. FINALLY.
Of course, I can't read it just yet, but at least it's off my shoulders now. _________________
