You'll get one fer sure...I'm shocked sometimes by the vehemence with which some posters at D-addicts attack people who critisize subbers...

Bring it on.

I can understand the subbers getting torqued when people start dogging them about "Is it done yet?" but this is a different animal...

I would think/hope that the subbers have personal standards and would want to put out the best product they can, not some crapass chop job that some schmuck like me could crank out. Beaten

What bothers me is a trend lately of the one person subber...their Japanese AND English skills are questionable, at best...they have no timing skills and certainly no QC...
the problem is when one of these solo types takes on a drama & announces it, the more competent sub GROUPS back off leaving all the sub work to the one person...
There is an exception to this one person sub issue and that is Dancestar24...this young lady is an amazing asset and should be treasured by all

Just finished the 7th episode of Aruganon ni Hanataba wo. I think I'm realizing what the title stands for now...

Finished Watashitachi no Kyokasho...
I don't know how to even start describing the excellence of this drama...so, I'll just say the last two episodes truly kept me on the edge, and when it was over...I sat back and realized I had just watched a miracle on television...

Dang! Nogiwa Yoko was a babe!

I did get a laugh a while ago, while watching "Triple Kitchen". There's Yoko, once again playing a character that's all about the preservation of the traditional Japanese way of life... and it turns out her conversational English is better than mine.

runpup,

I'm really looking forward to seeing Watashitachi no Kyokasho. Glad to hear you were impressed.

I finished Flowers for Algernon and was bawling like a baby during the last episode. So heartbreaking, yet it was a good ending. Haruhiko was such a great guy to both Erina and Haru. No way can you find someone like that in the real world. Sad
