I'm starting on book 1 again because I want to see if I can find clues and such. Or maybe because I don't want the HP universe to end just yet. |
You'll find loads of clues, I promise you that! It's amazing how you missed them upon the first reading, but as you read the others in turn, the previous hints make so much sense. _________________

LOL!
I finally... FINALLY... finished Order of the Phoenix. Prolly the most painful book to read.
I'm now on to Half-blood Prince, which I've been looking forward to since I don't remember much from my first reading of it. _________________

I didn't like that one either. Too depressing and angsty. The first book is such a joy to read because of its innocence. _________________

YES! As is the second... which I think I like as much as the third. The fourth was alright, tho a best strained, and the fifth, as you said, was too angsty. . I'll have to reread the sixth to remember how much I liked it. _________________

Yeah, the first 3 books are great. I also like the 4th because of the different people they interact with (also, it's when the romance bit kicks in )

Was that a spoiler or are you embarassed about the reason why you like that book?
AD: Yeah, it's all the puberty stuff going on, but I can't help it--I prefer when the kids were young and innocent and that the plot wasn't as heavy and depressing. _________________

That's why the books are so grand, because Rowling actually captures what they're like at different stages in their life. I know what 15 year olds are like. I have to be exposed to them everyday at work. But that doesn't mean I have to enjoy their angstness. _________________

I'm STILL waiting for my son to finish it... gah, he's a slow reader. I shouldn't complain, though, because he doesn't read anything else

Yea, I love that about the HP books. It gets the kids reading. When do you think you'll get the book from him? I could hold off and we can read it together. _________________

O that's right... has he blamed his procrastination on the fact that he's reading HP? _________________
