Oh my. I'm more than happy to "bash" Aya Ueto as an actress.

I first saw her in one of the Kinpachi Sensei series, and I thought she had tremendous potential. Cute, yeah, sure. But she also showed some real talent.

Then I saw her in "Perfect Bride". A favorite show of mine... but she pretty much just walked through her supporting role.

Then is saw her in:

My Little Chef. A lousy show.

Hitonatsu no Papa e. A lousy show.

Ace wo Nerae. A lousy show.

Yoshitsune. A lousy show.

Hotelier. A show so bad I couldn't bring myself to watch a second episode.

There's a pattern emerging there, and after a while, even I saw it.

It took a while, but through hard work, and sticktoittiveness, Aya Ueto earned her place on my "Avoid at all Costs" list along with other such luminaries as Fukada Kyoko and Fujiwara Norika.

She was funny in Attention Please. She was at least well cast there and had the talent to pull off that role.

Yea, and she was at least BELIEVABLE, unlike trying to pull off being a volleyball player. Shake Head

Man, Geez! You've seen her in so many. I don't have that much experience with her. I've seen her in Attention Please, where she was good. In Attack no. 1 bad where she was BAD, in Ace wo Nerae where she was BAD, in kkk2003 where she was BAD and in Tsubasa, where she was only in one epi and good in that one. I'm not as far as you in terms of avoiding her, but I'm at the point where I skip over her dramas to watch other ones.

Yup. I think she was trying not to be type-casted and so took on the sporty roles. NOT a great move for her. Shake Head

Smart move. I'm gonna try to watch an epi of Sailormoon Live Action tonight. Try to feel it out. I heard the epi's are shorter, so that's a good thing.

Now THERE'S something i'd like to see... hehe

Just don't expect excellence in acting (or special effects!). It's fun, but very cheesy.

LOL! I was gonna post pics. When I was younger, my cousins and I used to pretend we were sailor scouts. I used to be Sailor Mars and we used to have the wand thingies and everything. Mr Green Why play house when we could dress up in cute outfits and save the world in our heels?!

LOL! "That" was childhood. Still, I might just enjoy the story again. I wonder if they stay true to the orginal story.

Funny how that works when it's a good drama. I know when I was watching Yasashii jikan I had to stop myself from going on to the next episode.
