probably. considering the life span of a japanese star she is in that business for a very long time already and still very popular and successful. Nevertheless you can�Lt deny that it�Ls getting a bit down after AP and her last CDs weren�Lt as successful anymore too. But of course that can all change again very fast. Still I think she should rather do more stuff like what made her so popular. Nothing against mature roles. She can do them (has to as she is getting older, of course) Tsubasa was brilliant. But she could/should still do stuff like AP or school/college doramas, Azumi 3 more movies....

I think so, too. Of course she can�Lt play schoolgirls forever But I think, with her age and looks now, she still could.
Doesn�Lt have to be a young schoolgirl like in KKK03, of course. But some sports dorama or, fitting her real age, playing a college student (comedy or drama, both possible) would probably fit her and please the fans more than a serious, mature drama.
I don�Lt know what Aya would want to do more. Maybe she wants to play more mature roles maybe it was a decision by her agent.
I think as long she still can do it she should continue to play "younger roles" and, like K.T. said, shift into mature roles slower.

ANd AYa is Aya, her talent is not associated with a particualr style, not like gackt for example. So the definition of Aya herself, is to try all sort of styles ! OMG she wouldn't have been chosen for so many different CMS if she wasn't judged able to convey different messages ! OMG Any AYa fan should know that. But what remain all along the way, whatever is her style, is that Aya is a simple heartful girl, adorable without being plain at all ! Any "old fan" should have noticed that by now.

edit : I agree with free to the extent that AYa is not too old yet to only play adult roles. If she wants she can even play a mature teenager LOL, in some wierd story.

I got a Canon Scanner... I like Epson..but was ona budget.. plus the Epson model they have the lid opens like a book.. I don't like it. So I choose Canon. No worry I'll scan the rest.. Just had to get that out of my system.

Bis ? I don't remember of a mag called Bis.
Though this ad was in a feb 2006 magazine, it has actually been filmed on the beginning of november 2005, according to the tv news I have.

Well for me, her music didn't hit me hard after her Yume no Chikara song...and yes Yume no Chikara is still my favorite song from her. Egao was ok, Way to Heaven is......just ok.....

Us "old fan" are able to see that she is talented and has the ability to do all sorts of styles. Innocent and loving girl in KKK 2003, Gender-Identity Disorder in Kinpachi Sensei, a Tennis player, Volleyball player, Cabin Attendent......yes we see that. But dude....honestly now, going from something like Attention Please to Shimokita Sundays and then to Hotelier.......she just went from Good drama to back to back bad dramas.
To me bad dramas are ones i can't finish......and i couldn't finish S.S nor hotelier.

I don't know about you guys, but at times in S.S it did seem like ALL the actors and actresses were over-acting....if thats part of the script, but it was painful to see good actors and good actresses in such a drama.

Whatever if.....Hotelier was a split. Some Aya fans hate it and some likes it. I'm just saying dude...you go two comedy type dramas and then BAM throw yourself into a drama where you're all mature and what not. Waay too sudden

Well I haven't seen SS or Hotelier, perhaps because of the lukewarm reviews, but it's good to have a perspective such that you have. Meaning that you call them as you seen them. We all have our fav. celebs but not everything they do is going to be great or even good. Aside from their performances there is a lot that goes into making a successful show.

Bwa for you her dramas have suddenly changed, and her music too. But Aya is not bound to music or dramas, I think she's special. Like I said, even if her dramas and musics have changed and don't fit your tastes anymore, Aya herself is still the same ~ You should just consider Aya-san. Her personality. If you do so, everything is alright and you have fun following her little adventures ~

I never scanned the Mina one yet?... my Bad.. I know the first one I didn't yet.. I thought I did the Other one.. Kay.. I have to that mag. I'll scan it. Even the Nono magazine I didnt scan it.. Hey guys.. they Still Don't want to get rid of the Nono poster from the store I go to... Man.. what gives? Yeah ,, Bis magazines are nice.. the cover is like has glitter or something.. and alot of Girls in it.. Jpop groups that I never heard of.. Kinda wish there's an Aya interview in there.. so far I haven't seen any.

Exactly. Her last doramas and music weren�Lt super bad or anything, of course!! but they were too differnt for many fans, I think.
I mean the License album wasn�Lt bad. But quite different from her previous releases and I think it had too many ballads and sounded a somewhat "plain."
I liked her last 2 songs Save me and Namida no Niji a lot again, though. Especially Save me. It was a bit rockier and more like her older songs again.
I think most of the older fans like Aya especially because she always was different and something special. Not the common actress/singer as many others.
Her different roles like in KKK03 or Kinpachi sensei and her sports dorama roles made her that popular. Those outsider roles and tomboy look made her someone special and different from most others and that�Ls one of the reasons why I like her so much.
Well, I love her a lot and I will support her in everything she does. But lately she shifts away from that special look and roles a bit.
AP was great, no question about that. And actually I liked her funny and crazy character in Shimokita Sundays a lot, as well. It suited her very well. Shimokita had a lot of potential, a good idea and characters but somehow it could never develop into something
Last weekend I finally finished with Hotelier. I know, like K.T. said, some like it, others hate it....
Well, I had problems with it, too. And I never had much motivation to continue watching. After finishing it I must say it wasn�Lt bad! Nothing special but a decent dorama. BUT; All Aya doramas I�Lve seen before moved me somehow and were special. Hotelier wasn�Lt. My main problem was that I absolutly didn�Lt like Aya in that role. Don�Lt get me wrong, she did her job well. But I didn�Lt like to see her in such a mature role as Hotel worker. In a realtionship with that slimy suit-wearing guy and it was all about betray and business. Aya was completely wrong in that role No "Aya spirit" in there
Nothing against more mature roles. Tsubasa was great. Aya fittet perfectly in that role and was very believeable. But Hotelier was absolutly not Aya-style, I think....
I was happy about the recent photos in mags, though. I love her look on those a lot
She looks great and cute with long hair, as well. But that fake, curly hair and conservative hotelier conservative/dress was somehow not her style at all.
