I'll get working on it tonight, after So You Think You Can Dance. _________________

When I started reading last night, after a few minutes my son asked me how many pages I had read. I looked, it was page 14. Mrs A.D. was amazed that i'd read 14 pages in (literally) a few minutes... but the story actually starts on page 10 |
I'm afraid to find out who dies in the first 100 pages... _________________

LOL Bad typing. I woulda left it, except I actually LIKE takoyaki, so "yak" wouldn't have been appropriate. _________________

I started the last of the Harry Potter books this morning.
Figured I'd better get to it. Two of my nieces and one of my nephews have delivered copies of the book to my house over the last week. And I keep getting emails from them about... have you seen a bright light yet?????
I read the first couple of books when they first came out... and enjoyed them. But since they are all so tightly outlined I pretty much lost interest in the middle.
With the peanut gallery chirping I read "The Half Blood Prince" (book #6) last week, just to get up to speed. And now... the end.
I'd better get through it quickly. I'll probably see the kids on Saturday, and they're not good about spoilers_________________ Manga is to Literature

I read quite a bit last night. It's like a whirlwind pool, with everything rushing by and smacking you in the face with unpredictable occurances. I love it. This is how I wanted to read, and therefore have kept myself safe, for the most part, from spoilers. _________________

I'm about 200 pages in... like you, i've tried to avoid spoilers. It didn't help last night when my son asked " have you got to the part where *******************?" and I hadn't

I was able to avoid any spoilers about the plot, except one minor one which I was sure would happen anyway. _________________

I'm about that many in as well! Mebbe we should discuss in PM so as to avoid anything for other readers? _________________

I just finished Stephen King's "Lisey's Story".
Didn't like it.
I had to get that comment out quickly because I'm a big Stehen King fan, and the phrase "I didn't like it" doesn't come up often for me. I didn't like typing it. But...
Didn't like it.
It didn't sound, didn't feel like a King story. Yeah, it was horror based. Supposeldy scarey stuff happened. But it was so scattered, so... false, I kept wondering if Stephen King really wrote it.
