Sometimes I wonder. I had completely forgotten about "hohendemo" I guess that comes from watching too many doramas where all they every say is "egao" The other day at work, I was talking to a Japanese customer and the last thing she said was, "Anata wa nihongo jozu deshita" only thing is, for some reason, I didn't understand what she said and had to ask her to repeat it. Pretty embarrasing | |

The japanese word for "help" is tasuke (). Japanese is notorious for leaving off nouns and pronouns, like if you ask someone if they're o.k., all you have to say is "daijobou", it could be the same way for help, if you just asked "tasuke ?" they'd get the idea. What did you say could be phrased as "Nani iu te" i@@) I dunno if throwing a "ka" on the end would matter or not. | |

I don't think there's a thanks in advance: You would just use arigatou, doumo arigatou or doumo arigatou gozaimasu depending on the level of politeness required, after your request. You would use doumo arigatou gozaimashita for thanking someone for something already done.

daijoubu is used for "OK" or "alright", If someone asks you if you are ok it could be "daijoubu desu ka" or just "daijoubu", and similarly a reply could be "daijoubu desu" or just "daijoubu".

There's probably other answers to this too

"don't worry" is "shinpai shinaide", "don't worry it will be alright" could be "daijoubu dakara shinpai shinaide" | |
