Finished season 2 yesterday... Thumbsup

More character development this season and that's a good thing, since they're pretty much like family now after season one... Smile

As Wynter said, this season is more sentimental, particularly in episodes one and 11... Maybe too sentimental. Sweat

But it's as good as season one. Smile

So far she is (I've only seen 'til 8) but I think they explore more with Momo-chan than they do with Kyoko-chan. Sweat

Oh. Kyoko was so underused in the first series...I was hoping she'd get more action this time. Beaten
Mind you, more of Momo-chan is a good thing. Thumbsup

Can't say Kyoko-chan get used that much more than in season one, but she appears to be a much better and informed cook. Smile

I got the discs from Wynter today, so I'll be checking out Kuitan 2 this weekend. So I'll get to see for myself just how much Kyoko is delved into (so to speak). Big Grin

Thanks again, Wynter! Jumpie

I'm still amazed at how quickly they arrived from Canada - and that they weren't swiped by some unscrupulous Brit postal worker. Sweat

LOL! Like I mention in my PM, it's speedy to the UK and Australia, but for some reason it takes a long time for America... Sweat

That's weird - it's always been the other way round for me - America rather quicker than to or from Canada.

My Review: 8/10

As expected of Kuitan!

Another great season of good food and the very delicious Higashiyama Noriyuki.

This season follows the same formula as the last season, with only slight differences. There is more of each character this time around. Ryousuke-kun is more comedic and lovable, Kyoko-chan is more charming, Igarashi is even more goofy, Momo-chan is much louder, and Kuitan is far more hungry. The stories are more varied, and there are more sentimental scenes to better balance the comedy.

There were some lame instances but these are easily overlooked because the drama holds strong as a nicely written comedy with good, solid characters. I liked how they brought back characters from the Special as well. It created a unified and logical time-span between the first season, the special, and the second season.

It would have been nice to have had a background story that tied all the episodes together, but the lack of such a story doesnft harm the enjoy-ability factor that this drama has mastered. If you enjoyed the first season, donft hesitate watching the second. Itfs equally as good.

But overall, I think it's as good as season 1, that's why I gave it another 9/10. Smile
