Yeah, didn't take me long to decide where to cast my vote. We love our white rice here in the islands, so, amen on the Japanese food. I'm a big fish eater too, so, raw, poached, fried (tempura?), grilled, whatever, hard to beat Japanese-style. Plus, I'm part Japanese. My other part is Portuguese (especially where it counts, OOH, "RIMSHOT!!!!" Google), SO WHERE'S THE SPECIFIC CATEGORY FOR PORTUGUESE FOOD????? HAHHA, just kidding; probably the only Portuguese food I like is malasadas. Like you care Applaud .

Speaking of which, previously, I couldn't readily state that Japanese cuisine was complete because I used to be REAL skeptical of Japanese desserts (or "desret" or "dessart" for those of you who have seen Suicide Club). But, then, green tea ice cream and mochi ice cream came along. I know those examples might not have been invented in Japan, but, they obviously include elements of Japanese food. And, Iron Chef dashed all doubts out of my head when they made squid ink ice cream look DEEEEEEElicious.

If you're planning a trip to Hawai'i, check out us KIKU TV-ites' "Japanese eats" discussion: http://www.forumco.com/kikutvcom/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=956&FORUM_ID=10&CAT_ID=4&Topic_Title=Japanese+Eats%2E%2E%2E&Forum_Title=The+Xchange

That would explain the "extra-long" posts then huh?!

*no pun intended for your comment earlier*

But I mean, the "portuguese mouth".... Heh, I guess it even runs off onto letters and message boards! Beaten

*LOL* hehe

yeah wtx... no Thai?

Most thai food that I've had were coconut milk based, and they're very good. I've had nothing like it before.

I've had Malaysian food which also contained coconut milk. I wonder if other countries use coconut milk so extensively in their cuisine.

Sorry I didn't put Thai food, I really should have... I don't know how to edit it, there's no option when I try to edit my first post.

and as to the taiwanese food question I am not exactly sure how to describe it, but I went to a place that was supposedly taiwanese food, I guess it was just the preparation thats done differently, I don't really frequent there alot.

And yeah I would presume alot of people would pick Japanese Sweat being it a jdrama forum. But soya sauce and wasabi is used a bit much be hey I love japanese cuisine too Smile
