Erm well I'm not 100% sure as it is dark outside ^^; but it's generally pretty chilly out there about this time... we've had some pretty nice weather in the UK recently though... it's been quite warm here ^__^ _________________

The weather people lied. It was actually 20c today. I had to come back into the house when I left this morning to change into warmer clothes. _________________

Sat., Sept. 15, Tokyo, Japan
I thought autumn had already come to Japan but the weather was a bit summery--a little warm with a high of 30 C (low 80's F), a touch of humidity, and a slight breeze on a partly cloudy day. Nice day to be outside.
However, I know its not summer because the cicadas have stopped their buzzing mating noise, suppermarkets have started to sell kaki (persimmons), which is an autumn fruit, and a couple of girls on Omotesando were wearing boots yesterday (wearing boots in summer is strictly verboten).
So, summer has come and gone but the sad thing is I don't remember any of the summer movies I saw. No impression at all. .
Spiderman had something to do with Harry Osborne and the sandman. Die Hard 4.0 had something to do with Bruce Willis. Ratoullie had some cooking rats. Genghis Khan (on dvd) had Soromachi in kind of an American Indian kind of role. Dororo (on dvd) had a lot of CGI fights against cartoon type of monsters. Didn't see Pirates, Transformers or Harry Potter, will wait for the dvd. Neither Simpsons nor Surf's Up made it here yet.
I do remember watching all of Friends starring Kyoko Fukuda and Win Bo. I thought that was done well and that it was good for intercultural relationship between Japan and Korea .

Anyway, an unmemorable summer is now over.
Hi don!
I love your Japanese 'weather' reports. So poetic! It makes me feel like I am in Tokyo.
Today we are having a rainy day with temps up to 66 F/18.88C. I think the cicadas are still buzzing at night here. I know the crickets are chirping away. It will officially be summer here until Sept. 23rd.

Thanks for the compliment, Enna. Poetic, huh. Next time I'll try to write it in haiku style. But actually, I have hard time just trying to write prose.
Anyway, it was hot again, today. 85-86 F (31C) and humid. Apparently, typhoon no. 10 coming up from the south pushed a warm air mass up the Japanese archipeligo. And we're going to have a few more days of this weather.
18 C sounds so good. Perfect weather for cappucino.
