Some of the humor in this drama-comedy is in the language. Stresseman exaggerates the way most western foreigners speak Japanese--it sounds funny ( ) even to me. And Nodame always talks in the the -desu/-masu polite form and refers to herself in the third person like an old fashioned Japanese person.
Though my knowledge of Nihon-go is limited, I did notice Stresemann's exaggerated was of speaking for comic effect... As well as Nodame speaking in the third person (I think I mentioned it ages ago)... Interesting.

And cute.
I like Stresemann's way of speaking, it creates of what-so-ever style...
He is a Germany (I think, I forgot) and it shows that actually he speaks Japanese-Germany way...
He learned Japanese from the director of Momogaoka (Forgot who she is) so there should be differential between the real Japanese (of the cast) and the character (Stresemann)
Nodame speaks like that isn't that due to her parents' educated her to right??? _________________

Dvorak's Slavonic Dances, op. 72 #2 in E minor? This piece was used a lot in the drama.

I only had a mild interest in Beethoven's 7th until I watched S Oke's performance. Wow, it's pretty good! Since I only have the 5th, 6th, and 9th Symphonies (by Ozawa, Karajan, and Bernstein), I need to go get the 7th right away.
Ueno acts like she can really play the piano. Impressive performance.

I know what you mean... I only had a passing interest, but this drama has really enlightened me on the various nuances and flavors of classical music...
I think the links are probably expired, but thtl posted a bunch of music from the OST and similar for Nodame... And the 7th is performed by Bernstein and the NY Philharmonic.

It is.
She seems to be quite musically adept... Check her out in Swing Girls playing the sax...

All four movements of this symphony are included in disk 3 of the Nodame Cantabile Best 100 CD set:
