i like violent movies too....movies like kill bill, battle royale 1 and 2. azumi really rocks and i still prefer azumi 1 than azumi 2. maybe it's because of the change in the director...dont know? but i thought that azumi 2 could have a better ending...

i mean, is there a continuity in the story that would require me to watch Azumi 1 before 2 or is the story totally independent with each other?

 thanks.

I agree with K. T. Tran. If you've never read the manga or don't know anything about the basic story of Azumi then it's probably better to watch the first one first so that you understand what's going on in the second movie.

just to update you guys, i've watched both movies last saturday...i watched azumi 1 then followed by 2.

interestingly, i liked both....im not much of a blood & gore person (well, i also liked kill bill ) but i was able to watch both movies without covering my eyes
hoping to see some conclusion on azumi 3 perhaps? since there are still unfinished business between Kanbei and Azumi...

Kanbei seems not that person that will forgive and forget. | |

Apparently there IS another Azumi .. like "Azumi 3" but they change the name since the actors, actresses and plot are VERY different .. Other than that, I have no idea about Azumi movie ..

they might be interested but wouldn't it be off topic? I know a little bit about japanese history but I know a lot about the Three Kingdoms era (China). I'm not dissing on japanese history or heroes but i found the 3K stuff to be much more interesting!

SOOOOO... when is that Azumi 3 comin out?

I dont like azumi because she is invincible. She never meets her match and beats EVERYONE. think about it, there is not a single enemy she struggles to beat... what a let down...

Btw, Chiaki Kuriyama in A2 is hooooot

The Three Kingdoms history?Well then we'll have something to talk about then!!!But then we can't discuss about it here.Sengoku Jidai has some link with Azumi since they are at from the same period but surely not 3K!!!So any thread talking about this?!?

And I certainly hope Azumi 3 don't surface at all!!!Ok maybe the presence of Aya is a GREAT thing but as you said...her immortality on-scene is just too much!!!
