I have to agree with that. I found Otousan to be a bit boring. Oyaji was WAY better, IMHO.

other notables that i believe should make the list ...
garasu no kutsu
kimi ga oshiete kureta koto
good luck
good news
just to name a few ... hahahaha. |
Ha. Actually, an unrated version of Younger Men A.K.A. Younger Man A.K.A. Toshishita no Otoko might make a slight difference. And, heck, if you like watching lame people hate (however evident or subliminal) each other, then, get the Younger Men boxed set if it ever comes out.
And I'm glad I watched Maja No "Joke", but I don't think I can stand to watch that series a second time on account o' that ending which makes an e.e. cummings piece look like the "Jack and Jill" poem.

Altho i would have to say that's not my most 'kirai no dorama'. _________________

Oh, ha, thanks for asking. That flag is Hawai'i's flag. I will indicate that for future posts (and, maybe even find two smaller pics of flags )

HAWAII BABY!!!!!!!
Ok, now back to the topic on hand............ dramas not worth watching.
Hmmmmmmmm................. "Making It Through" (IMO)
Those family dramas don't really appeal to me. I find it rather boring and cheesy.
Well, actually, just that family drama. 'Cause too much dramas in the family and well, it's not all that interesting
Now I'll shut up 'cause I don't want those who do like "Making It Through" to hate me and start a whole contraversy. *LOL* _________________

The program's up to how many episodes? Oh, don't tell me, the total amount of episodes give Abarenbo Shogun a run for its money?
Who's watching this series?! Make yourself known! Tell us why were're wrong (good luck). |
I've been watching Making It Through since season 3, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Of course, I'm a super soap opera fanatic (I follow the ABC and CBS soaps) so liking soap-formatted dramas like MIT is very natural to a soap fan. I admit it does not fit the template of a Japanese drama everyone expects, but that's the problem right there -- comparing MIT to something else. Standing alone, MIT is excellent, and is actually very highly rated in Japan.
About the number of episodes. Another characteristic about soap operas is that it NEVER ENDS... Remember that As the World Turns on CBS has been running for over 50 YEARS! That comes out to about 13,050 episodes total. MIT's structure could very well last 50 years as well because once the grandfather passes away, his grandchildren will become the adults, and the cycle will continue infinity.

No wonder I don't care for it. I hate soaps that's why.
I don't know, but it could never catch my attention. Either of them. _________________
