I've only seen her in a few but I agree. Summer Snow was perhaps her best.

Summer Snow was good...but, Beach Boys was her best, because she had to bounce off of Sorimachi Takashi and Takenouchi Yutaka ...she was just a kid and she was working with these powerhouse actors...she stepped up to the plate...and hit one out of the park...

I completely agree! And I love how, when scenes are tormented and/or sad, it is reflected in the visuals. Quite beautiful.

I have it in DVD format. You can play it in a stand-alone DVD player. As for where I got it from, I bought a copy. Video quality is quite good from what I remember.

On topic: I'm on the last episode of 101st Proposal. Good drama, just not too fond of the actress.

Yasashi Jikan

Okay, people shouldn't bring this drama up because I launch into a pointless diatribe about how wonderful it is every time I see the title.

Cori's probably right. I have a blog, I should probably natter on about shows that I like there, but I never seem to get around to it.

Anyway... Suffice to say, I really liked Yasashi Jikan.

Beautiful locations that are more than just beautiful loactions. They inform, they are a part of, the story.

Wonderful photography that does justtice to the locations.

A superb cast top to bottom.

And a subtle, nuanced, script that tells an interesting human story on multiple levels.

It's a pip.

YES, you really should put it on your blog! Or you could even update the "my dramas" section with your reviews. (hint hint nudge nudge) Wink

What is Graffiti to art? I'd like to hear your opinion on this. Big Grin

In another thread, hopefully.

Finally finished episodes 7-9 of Jiko Keisatsu... Good show.

I'd give it a 9/10... I love the kooky characters and the whodunit nature of the show... Reminds me of the series Banacek with George Peppard (yeah, I'm dating myself yet again)...

Because each episode is self-contained, it didn't prompt me to have to try to gobble up all of the episodes ASAP to get to the conclusion/climax/finale... And that's a good thing. Smile

Looking forward to season two, if Geezer and I can get the subs squared away for episodes 6-9, since the subber at D-Addicts has apparently abandoned the project (don't mention it there, because the people get reallt testy about it...)

Don't get me wrong, I like Jikou Keisatsu (imo 2nd season's better), but the cases are no where near as clever as those in 'Banacek'.

Ah, someone who's probably near my age... Victory! Peace!

Well, I said Jiko Keisatsu reminded of Banacek... I didn't say it was better or more clever. Wink

Sorry, I just had to jump in and defend what is probably my favorite mystery-type TV series of all time. Thumbsup
