Ever been on a trip with someone you thought you knew, but ended up regretting the whole thing? I planned a week off with a few close friends 7 or 8 years ago. We only ate at harvey's, Mickey D's/McDo, Burger King... because a guy was picky and broke. Another one was crying on the phone, because he missed his girlfriend, but wanted to go clubbing every night even tho he didn't drink and we didn't want to go. And there was this guy who was badtripping every other day.

DAYEM that sounds HELLISH....what a bad trip.

I'm not a big fan of cottage cheese, but I'd prefer to eat some at every meal for a week, than to plan vacations with them again. At least, I'd make sure to have a plan B or to bring my own car, so I can get the hell out, if it sucks. |
yeah your story illustrates how important it to pick your travel companions...when i went to japan the guy i went with and i are pretty laid back...sure there were a few times we got on each others nerves but that was the worst of it....so the trip was memorable and fun without any drama.

you should go travel with one of those cool comic creators you recently met up with...they can draw a manga of your trip and post it here for our amusement.

As long as China supports the military government there, which it does with aid and Chinese military weaponry, I don't see any end to the repression in the near future. The United States and Europe has limited influence because of China's dominance in the region. Moreover, Myanmar has natural resources including oil and gas and American and European energy companies are much more interested in that than the ppl so they don't care of ppl get killed....they just want to strategically place themselves to make money....same for China which has the upperhand in this regard.
Unless the ASEAN countries collectively try to do something, the Myanmar government will continue to oppress its people.

Whatever you do, don't come to Canada. It's getting colder and the price of coffee rose by 15 cents. Which means: me poorer due to cute girl that works at the counter. |
You need to apply for a "im your bf" discount.

I went to visit the Albright Knox art gallery with my students, and then we went shopping (after seeing the Darwin House) at the Fashion Outlet mall. The weather was agreeable.
Only downfall was that we were stopped and checked at the boarder. |
