Has he seen Dekichatta Kekkon yet? If that doesn't make him a Yukata fan, nothing will!!!
That's the drama that made me a die-hard, swoonish fan.
On Topic: On epi 6 of Enka no Joou.
Note to Senpai: The drama IS messy, in the sense that some things don't link up properly, like shin2 said. However, the drama is really funny and random, and really enjoyable to watch! Although it's random, it's still creative and I like it. So far. _________________

Ok thanks. I'll try to watch the 1st episode tonight, if I don't finish working too late. _________________

I'll keep that in mind.
I rarely stop watching a drama after a few episodes anyway. I've finished them all, even the boring ones, except one. It made me nauseous. _________________

I'm still watching "Konna Koi no Hanashi". though sadly... I don't have many episodes left.
It's funny how you (okay, I) get attached to, how you pigeon hole, people.
Toda Naho is in this show. And though she's playing the "other woman" -- Sanada's official, hoity-toity fiancee -- I find myself rooting for her, because she's one of my girls from Shomuni.
If you check her credits you'll see that she's been a major player in a million shows. She always does a great job, and even though she rarely plays a sympathetic character... I always end up rooting for her.
Anyway, last night while watching episode 8, the co-star turned out to be Toda Keiko. Another Shomuni alum. (Keiko played Tokunaga, and Naho played the head secratary.)
Now Keiko was really supposed to be playing someone you didn't like... but I couldn't help myself. She's one of the girls!
Boy, if I ever thought stereo-typing was a myth before, this put me in my place. Two wonderful actresses, both doing terrific work, and dumbass that I am, all I can think about is... They were in Shomuni!!! _________________
Enka no Joou epi 9. I'm scared. I've been enjoying the drama so far but it's taken a nasty turn... will it be able to maintain it's playfulness... or will it become one of those stupid dramas that throw caution to the wind with the final plot point? _________________

Watched the first episode of Utahime last night, Nagase's still got the timing for physical comedy. Really interesting plotline and the insert song, "Change the World" by Eric Clapton oddly fits into the whole 50s scenery. Kinda sad the ratings are as low as they are, but I'll definitely be continuing with this one.

Keiko Toda is a really good honest-to-goodness actress, but because she is cast in supporting roles, she doesn't get the recognition she deserves. Plus, she's around 50 years old, so there's an age discrimination factor working there as well. She's been topnotch in all the dorama series I've seen her in, and she gave wonderful performances playing significant roles in a very good movie (Uchoten Hotel) and a great movie (Radio no Jikan).

Oh, dear...I thought it was great as an absurd comedy ( I applaud Fujiki Naohito for taking on this role and actively promoting it), but be prepared for some other people's comments... _________________
