Really interesting plotline and the insert song, "Change the World" by Eric Clapton oddly fits into the whole 50s scenery. Kinda sad the ratings are as low as they are, but I'll definitely be continuing with this one. |
I will give this a try later on this season! In the meantime, while waiting for goodies such as Shomuni season 2 and 3, ILll be re-watching Golden Bowl since it had been mentionned in this forum quite often recently. Yes!

Hmmm, disappointed to hear that. Aside from Jyou No Kyoushitsu Yuki's been in some pretty bad dramas lately (TopCaster, Rastu Pursento)

She's AMAZING! She's like Tsuruta Mayu for me. Both women hook you right away and they can make me believe ANYTHING.
The first 8 epsidoes of Enka no Joou I enjoyed quite a bit. It's just hte last two that... Blah. _________________

All this talk about Amami Yuki set me off on a 'Yuki-sppree' - just got started on Rikon Bengoshi I and II.

Those are the ones that first got me hooked on Yuki. Even though I've seen her in other dramas, a part of me always thinks of her as Takako Mamiya.

She has this rather serious looking face which made her great in Jyoou no Kyushitsu, but became a little out of place as the messy (at home) anchor in Top Caster. Rikon Bengoshi looks like a nice balance between stern (the lawyer) and warm (the 'old' maid) for Amami.

Sounds like a cumulative effect of all those things.
