And I definitely request Abarenbo Mama and Galileo OST !!!! Both series have haunting themes I spend the day humming... |
I've got the Galileo OST in my shopping basket, but have not watched any episode from Swan no Baka or Ararenbo Mama yet.

Thanks very much for your swift answer Abarenbo Mama seems quite promising (if one can stand Aya Ueto's antics!), it shows some aspects of Japanese culture (regarding their way of raising children and considering what is good or bad for them) that do not often appear in dramas. Although it should be a comedy, I think it is more a human drama, with its laughs and its tears. And the "classy" mothers are really spooky!!!
As for Swan no Baka, I definitely await the subs, for I want to see what happens to the weird doctor of HanaKimi
Do you have any advice for other airing series? I began Mop Girl and Joshi Deka (which both have interesting music scores), but again I have only watched 1 ep of each, so I can't judge properly. Is it just me or this season is reaaaally serious and dramatic? So many series about crimes or police officers or judges or...! Well, summer fun is over

The only thing I've watched from this season is Galileo, mostly to check out the OST. I may get started on Mop Girl when I have more time. The other ones I'm downloading are Iryu 2 and Hataraki Man, both of which I have not started watching yet.

I think I shall watch Iryu 2 when I have time to watch Iryu 1 first. The music was good, and I like medical dramas As for Hataraki Man, it seems interesting, so maybe I will have a look... The music is written by the composer of the anime Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku, so I don't know what to expect...
Edit: If you have time (and curiosity?), please watch Abarenbo Mama to check out its OST as well, it is really impressing (imho): it reminds me of old Hattori's anime scores, such as Battle Athletes and Nadesico, and is very different from Nodame Cantabile or Densha Otoko... or Karei Naru Ichizoku (which was impressive as well!!). Maybe this music seems a bit... too much for a comedy, but one feels the joy of the composer throughout, so...
