Yeah, that's insane. I guess he doesn't care about the fuel efficiency. Sweat

It's overkill, IMHO. Like someone said, it's like building a coal plant to charge your cellphone.

Definitely overkill..but when you're a billionaire I don't think they necessarily address such things in the same terms as you and i, or the rest of the world for that matter.

I like that coal plant analogy.....

It makes me so furious that my renter let her 16 year old drop out of school and cant even get it together to buy the bloody books so she can study for her GED. Angry Beat You
She has said for two months that she would buy her the books. How hard can that be?
So today I asked how the GED tutorial classes were going, and the girl told me her Mom wasnt able to take her to the classes so she had dropped out and would do it online.
THEY DONT HAVE A COMPUTER for god sakes!! Bang Head Bang Head
So I asked her if I gave them to her would she use them. SHe said "Yes, thank you." So I bought the books for her. Told her her mother was very untogether right now and that her future was obviously going to be up to her alone but I would help where I could.
BTW It took me two minutes. Thats TWO MINUTES to buy the books at Amazon. Ive offered my computer repeatedly for that purpose. God I hate such totally irresponsible parents. U Suck U Suck

Cool!

That's sad. The kid wants to study, but her mom is a lazy ass. There are too many dropouts. Unless you want to work in a burger joint for the rest of your life, you need a diploma. Her mom must be smoking too much crack. Shake Head

Mmmhmm.

@Eve: Sugoi, girl! That was a wonderful thing you did for that girl. God bless you.

I know how you feel getting frustrated with parents. I deal wtih parents all the time and the most infuriating thing ever is when you call home because the kid is doing poorly in class, and all the parent says is "yea, so?"

Sou desu. Mrs A.D. has to deal with kids whose parents are crystal meth addicts. They just don't care about their kids - they send them to school early so they don't have to look after them Grumble

Yes, I remember you telling me this! What's scarier in your wife's case is that she teaches Elementary students. Sweat I mean, it's sad when it happens to any age group, but to see it happening to small children who can't fend for themselves is just too terrible.

Awwwwww man, that just breaks my heart. Pout I have students with parents who abuse drugs. They're almost always in my vocational classes, which is sad, because they're smart kids.

^&#*%)_@)*!!!

there was this add, when i was about to download something through MegaUpload. it was an add for the new version of CD Burner XP. The website is the exact, yes, exact website of the CD Burner XP. so i downloaded it. i felt that i had nothing to worry about.

after i installed, i can't run the program. so i scanned.

turns out... TROJAN !!!

freakin stupid virus. Trojan PEED or something. i really thought it was a safe website because i've been using the old version of CDBurnerXP.

dang, i hate it when this happens. totally sucks. i know i should've been careful Pout . lesson learned: eventhough it's from what looks like a safe site, always scan first.

*time to scan... Shameful Cry * i hope it's not one of those reproducing virus thing
