Ryoko Yonekura will star in a TV Asahi drama series this winter, tentatively titled "Koshonin ~The Negotiator~."
She plays Reiko Usagi, a police negotiator working in a special unit known as SIT. In the first episode, she deals with a criminal who has taken a middle-aged woman as a hostage in an apartment.
This is Yonekura's first time in a police drama. The show is said to include action scenes as well. According to the actress, one of her models for the role is Angelina Jolie's character in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."
The show's cast includes Takanori Jinnai, Katsumi Takahashi, and Toshio Kakei as police officers. Idol Megumi Yasu will play Usagi's friend.
TV Asahi will broadcast the series at 9:00pm on Thursdays, beginning in January.

Mizuki to star in drama adaptation of "Saito-san" manga
Alisa Mizuki has been chosen to star in "Saito-san," an NTV drama series premiering on January 9.
The show is based on the manga of the same name by Yua Oda, which is currently running in the monthly publication Office YOU. The comic's three tankoubon released so far have sold a total of 150,000 copies.
Mizuki plays Masako Saito, a mother of one child. Unafraid to speak her mind, she constantly confronts people who violate proper manners and other rules of society.
The show will air on Wednesdays at 10:00pm this winter.

Ryoko's character Reiko was originally from the Juvenile section and was transferred to the SIT which is part of the Metropolitan Police Department's 1st Criminal Investigation Division. She is isolated in the SIT which is a male-dominated world but puts her keen mind and unique negotiating ability to use when facing vicious criminals.
Jinnai Takanori plays the director of SIT; Takahashi Katsumi the director of the 1st Criminal Investigation Division; Kakei Toshio a negotiator who made his way up the ranks.

I hope someone subs this drama, since not many fansubbers seem to like subbing Ryoko-chan's dramas for some reason...
Popular actor Shun Oguri will star in NTV's "Binbou Danshi" this winter. He has played the lead male in a drama series before ("Hanazakari no Kimitachi e"), but this is his first time as the protagonist.
Oguri plays a poor but optimistic college student in this comical story. Because of his overly nice personality, he ends up taking on other people's debts and faces various challenges to pay off those debts.
The series premieres in January and will air on Tuesdays at 10:00pm. BENNIE K will sing the show's theme song, the first they have ever done for a television drama.
Kohinata to star in first drama series
Veteran actor Fumiyo Kohinata will star in a Fuji TV drama series next season, titled "Ashita no Kita Yoshio." While Kohinata is well-known for his many supporting roles, this is his first lead role in a drama series.
Based on the novel "Jiyu Shikei" by Masahiko Shimada, the drama's screenplay is written by Joji Iida ("Rasen," "Dragon Head"). Kohinata plays Yoshio Kita, a debt-laden man whose wife (Manami Konishi) has left him. With his close friend's death anniversary only 11 days away, Yoshio chooses that date for his own death.
Ryuhei Matsuda has also been cast in the drama as a scout for a cabaret club who aims to profit from Yoshio's insurance money.
The series premieres in January and will air on Tuesdays at 10:00pm.
Shun's drama has the same producer as Haken no Hinkaku, Hotaru no Hikari and anego so im expecting a good comedy series..

I am huge suspense drama fan and (knowing that I am the only one) I don�Lt like Galileo that much 
the plot is very interesting, definitely a new role for Ryoko-chan, so im really excited to see this drama.
