as much of a foodie as i might be....that's one thing i don't feel motivated to sample....i hear you can drink the turkey....you just stick in a straw and slurp the oily juices...

A deep friend turkey?
Not much of a friend, is he/she?

That would explain why you would fry him/her.
Maybe he/she would be a better entree than serving one.

Not necessarily, since Thanksgiving does involve turkey, fried or no... And it is that time of the year.

Sorry I disagree. It it the same thing with the posts (non Happy Birthday wishes) that take place in the Birthday thread. Let the festive, congratulatory threads be for well wishes only and then move all of the other conversations to their appropriate threads. Errr..can you tell I am a little peeved that I took the time to compose a Happy Thanksgiving post and it got completely ignored?

Happy thanksgiving all!
Left overs? Mmmm. Being old and grumpy finally started to pay off.
My sisters, the ones who run Thanksgiving for the family here on the West Coast, are all vegitarians.
Makes for a less than happy thanksgiving for the rest of us meat eaters.
So a couple of years ago I bailed on the family gathering, I buy sliced turkey from a good local deli, and I make my own left overs.
Football, " left over" turkey sandwiches, and no "lively discussions" across the table? Heaven.
The only problem is, some of the nieces and nephews have been sneaking over to my house for a late night snack, after the Thanksgiving meal.
If my sisters find out, I'm a dead man. _________________ Manga is to Literature
