I just translated the movie "How to Become Myself", where Maeda Atsuko double-leads with Narumi Riko.
I didn't know she was a member of AKB48 until I was adding credits (I've seen them on many variety/music shows, but there are just too many to remember for me )
I was surprised by how good her acting was, despite such young age.

Hey man, we gotta catch up sometimes. Time for bed now though. I saved the envelope from the calendar to send you the 3 cards you wanted.
hey Hanzo21!! what's up man?
i see that you completed your A1-A4 dvd's....and other dvd's...I only have the A1 and A4, i probably need to get the others as well as order K3 dvd, and the new photobook. I am expecting my AKB calendar (the Mai Mai and Tomomi's calendar) I'll be going back to Japan in the Springtime, probably the same time you are going. Let me know what other AKB girls you may be interested in, i'll be heading to the Don Q bldg, Hello Project store again.

it is nice to see others visit the thread that i created for the appreciation and love for AKB48!
I am not certain if they will be making subtitles in english fo Anime ICE, then again i can be wrong, but my guess is "no", they won't. I think if you can tolerate not knowing most or all Japanese, but still really adore AKB48, or even just a fan of AKB48, then i would consider still getting it. I just bought A4 dvd, and it is truly amazing. I buy most my stuff online, since i do not live in Japan. I use yesasia.com, and i have ordered before also from cdjapan, but mostly from yesasia.com
I suggest to anyone that is more interested in finding out more of AKB48 to check out the other forum that i am on mostly.
For the Akihabara crowd, some idols will be in this year's Kohaku Utagassen.
I'll be watching to see what all the fuss is about.
This is from Tokyograph:
This year's Kohaku Uta Gassen will see performances by three acts that are well known to the Akihabara crowd: idol group AKB48, "otaku idol" Shoko Nakagawa, and popular gravure idol Leah Dizon. It will be the first Kohaku appearance for all of them.
According to reports, NHK is planning to have them be the "top batter" (opening act) for the Red Team. Each of the three will sing their own songs, then will take the stage together for an anime theme song performance. Negotiations with the relevant management agencies are still under way, but the plan is said to be very likely to happen.

Minamisawa, Maeda to star in Morohoshi adaptation
Actress Nao Minamisawa and AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda are co-starring in an NTV drama series this winter.
"Shiori to Shimiko no Kaiki Jikenbo" is based on the "Shiori to Shimiko" manga series by popular writer Daijiro Morohoshi. Described as a "surreal horror comedy," the story follows two girls named Shiori (Minamisawa) and Shimiko (Maeda) who become involved in strange incidents in their town.
The series will air late on Saturday nights, at 12:50am. The first episode will be broadcast on January 5.
